OK this is so simple... all you have to understand is about LDL and HDL. You shoudl raise the HDL to control your ratio of HDL/LDL. I am not explaining about it.. you can google it.
In general, raising your HDL helps you a lot.. and can avoid taking drug such as statin or crestor whatever.
The trick is reduce fat intake, change the oil as suggested in other postings above.
BUT do one thing... this is the greatest trick... DO NOT EAT ANY NUTS >> ALL NUTS ARE BAD..
EXCEPT WALNUTS.So everyday, eat half a cup of walnuts (no other types of nuts) Only walnuts.... Do ask the photocopy of the lab results of various colestrols of your blood from your doctor... coz you must do your own research.. do not depend on doctors.. coz doctors love to prescribe drugs.. and our efforts should be avoiding drugs as much as possible.
Half a cup of walnuts everyday.. after two months.. your HDL should go up and LDL shoudl go down, improveing your ratio of HDL and LDL..
think this... LDL is bad cholestrol... and HDL is the one which scavenge LDL from your body!!!! so that's why you need to increase the raise HDL to tame this LDL. LDL is the one which clogs your arteries.
