 Maile mero university ma BBA bata MBA ma transfer gareko......At that time they didnot updated my savis when i joined the college and they never issued I20 for MBA saying that I20 of BBA is going to work...so because of them i am out of status ....and my university never informed me about my status.. I came to know it about 5 months ago...  I submitted the application to USCIS for regaining my status as soon as i heard about it........but I have not heard from USCIS till now...Grace period pani sakina lagyo.....mero yo month ma class haru sakidai chha ...ra opt pani apply garnu parne chha....tara as i am not in status, I cant apply for OPT....What should I do??????Please advise me.....

it is very sad and a complete fault of the college, if what you're saying is true. In such cases, your International Student Advisor should acknowledge their mistake and write to the USCIS clearifying that you were never at fault and request them to instate your status. Once that is done, you'll be back into status and can apply for your OPT. Many colleges, in such cases, when they have a fault, do write such letters to the USCIS accepting their mistakes. So, go and talk to your International Student Advisor about it.

If they have already done so and you have a recepit from the USCIS that they have received your case and are working on it, you do not need to worry about anything, even though the grace period has already ended. The receipt will be your liability as long as your case is pending.
