BARA, Jan 18 - At least eight persons were killed and 22 others injured when a passenger bus caught fire at Dumakhan in Bara district on Friday.

The bus which was bound to Birgunj from Janakpur caught fire at around 5:30 in the evening, police said quoting eyewitnesses.

Unconfirmed reports, however, said 10 persons had died in the incident.

Sources also said the condition of many of the injured was critical and that the death toll could rise further.
