"According to police inspector Arun Paudel, it is often difficult to catch the culprits because the victims usually tend to exaggerate the looted amount."

Dude, what he actually looted denotes what type of thief is he. There are few limited thiefs in Ktm who do the bigger theft.

Any forms of lying is not good and an exaggeration is lying and if victims lie, it sort of overrides or bypasses certain clues which affects the investigation process. Thinking other way around, why do victims exaggerate? Trying to collect more of easy money!

Swatantragaamy:

Kinda like your reasoning, BUT, if the thief is richer than the victim, why did he loot in the first place????
