Why are Nepali people so superstitious? So many actions are governed by one old superstition or another. Can't clean the house, can't cut hair, can't cut fingernails except at certain times and too many others to list. Please help me to understand why. Superstitions can not cause something to happen at I have been told.

Its all becoz of the internal fear that we all carry with us...even though there might be no harm defying the superstitions, we just dont' wanna be the first one to do it......
