"If the Maoist do not come forward, we may have to think alternative steps." Dan Badhur Shahi Isnt it funny that from his words to the media it looks as if Ganendra's team would do something sinister to the Maoists if the Maoist do not come forward with peace deal. Sounds almost like as if the Ganendra's team will simply scare away the Maoist into making peace deal, just in the way Ganendra scared the heck out of political parties this week. Well, to be realistic, the Maoist have come a long way from KHUKURI and SPEAR age to mordern weponery and coordinated attacks. Let's see what does "alternative steps" of Ganendra's team really mean and lets see if it holds any water.

Gharjawaai, Why be so pessimistic without even knowing what the alternate actions would be? For crying out loud, give K G the benefit of doubt at least temporarily and hope he will turn around things for the better. What were his choices anyway? Keep watching the political drama while the country keeps sliding in deeper and deeper turmoil? At least, he showed courage and took control hoping to make a better and peaceful Nepal. He knows, the stakes are all too high for him and if he doesn't perform up to the expectation soon, Nepal will be Kingdom no more.... You have to give up something to get something. And in this case, I am glad to give up my freedom of speech and privacy in return for proposed peace and safety for the time being.
