Gorkhali-X, I think you're looking at it in a negative way. I betcha there were no "official" photographers for the convention, and the organizers had to ask other people to contribute their personal pictures. As you can see, for 2003 convention they have used the sajha.com pictures (they call it 'saajha.com' with a double 'A' however). So instead of making the content of the pictures an issue, it would be a more positive to thank the contributors ie. the tuladhar family and miss thapa for sharing their pics of the convention with other fellow Nepalese.

For all of you who don't know what ANA is, it is basically a big july 4th party for all so called Nepricans. That organizations have not accomplished anything. It just big venu for all the old Neplese to show off. its like, I was geek then look at me know type of people are there everywhere. The only worthwhile stuff to do participate in the sports. The people who run the organizations don't give shit about Nepal and other Neplesse. Like Gorkhali bro said, their kids don't even speak nepali and they don't know anything of Nepal. Most of their kids are married to kuires and dhotis. How are they going to save Nepal and their our culture when they can't even bestow that upon thier kids. To all, even though it sounds like I am bitching, it is not. Like I said before this is an info. for all who don't know what ANA is about. Peace,

Common guys, Everyone already knows the facts about what ANA stands for. One event on July 4th every year. Besides people go to meeting new and old friends and sports. ANA doesn't need to exist for that the happen. Besides only the INNER CIRCLE makes decisions. Also, they were giving credit to the photographers. But I don't think you should criticize President of ANA for his daughter marrying a white guy. It's happening a lot here in the US for Nepali (american) girls. Should we criticize Cheney for his daughter being a lesbian ? Or Jim McGeevy's wife for her husband being gay (maybe this is a stretch)

Brainiac, I agree with u that I should not criticize anyone. After all, it is the land of "freedom". I was making the point, they have be real and not be pretentiousness as the other dude stated. I don't want the Taliban types of rule but don't pretend like they are saving the Nepali culture cause that is bullshit.
