^^^ This doesnt apply here unless he has taken the benefits mentioned under public charge. Not much of an issue If your'e doing a family based GC where 130 petitioner satisfies the requirements and you meed other criteria. Of course there are other requirements like lawful stay, no criminal/immoral acts etc.

It does not matter whether you work or not, whoever is filing your petition, they should have an income.
