Hello,

Are there any ways to send money from Nepal (over $50K) to US without having any tax implications in the US?

The money is being sent from a family member so can be written off as a gift (from my understanding, with a letter), but to do so, I don't think the receiver can receive it through common practices such as sender giving money to family member in Nepal and receiver receiving from a US based account.

Any experiences?

Thanks!
