Before you send the phone, please make sure that it’s IMEI will be activated by nepali carriers. You can no longer send a phone (even unlocked) to Nepal and expect to work. These days, Nepali carriers won’t activate any phone that has not been bought legally or tax/customs paid if imported from foreign.

I sent a phone through Fedex back in 2011.I paid around $60 for fedex fee and custom charged us another rs25,000 in Nepal.I dont know if things has changed now. Last edited: 01-Feb-18 04:03 PM

I have sent 2 phones at 2013 from USPS (Probably the cheapest one around $50) . Those phones are used purchase from ebay, I phone 4 , they charged RS. 7000.00 custom fee
