Hi Guys Recently i joined as a Manufacturing Engineer at Company in MN. The problem is they have a remote plant 5 hrs away from the Corporate, so Basically I'm the only Mechanical Engineer on the remote plant. I want to get some basic training with Creo parametric(Referred as Pro E ). I have basic AutoCad Knowledge so i can pick up relatively quick. Do you guys have any ideas on where to do the training online. Even some dhotis online will be fine, willing to pay if i can get help. Thanks

If you are familar with auto cad, creo shouldn't be too hard for you. There are plenty of youtube videos that are really easy to follow and understand. Thats how i am learning too. BTW how is job market for mechanical engineers? I am graduating this december.

Hi Goddamn! I guess that's what Im gonna do too. It is not really required for me, coz normally i would just submit a drafting request and the Drafter would draft for me but sometime there are little things that i just wanna do it myself. I got lazy and really not learned anything on the drafting side. But i want to learn it to sharpen my drafting skills.
Regarding the Mechanical Engineering side, I would say learn AutoCAD, Pro E and get familiar with Manufacturing side. Check DMAIC Videos regarding Six Sigma, 5S rules, very straight forward and easy approaches. FYI Mechanical Jobs are on the country sides, Mid West. Wisconsin and MN have most. If you have internship, no problem getting a job. But if no internship you might face difficulty.
I wish we could have some Mechanical Engineer Forum (Us Nepali Guys) for learning/sharing ideas, help find jobs.
I wish you good luck and welcome to the world of Machines!!!
