Building a startup on your idea alone? Think again.. It takes more than just one person's skillset! I just heard that Fitronix, one of the teams that coalesced around an idea and started building a product in my joint MBA+CS class last Spring, won a Popular Choice Award in NYC Innovate Health competition. The team of 4 with MBA and Engineering students is a good example of what is possible when students from different departments come together to build a startup. I would like to share the story of Fitronix from a perspective of an educator so that more such joint classes will be offered where cross fertilization of ideas become a norm.
