Over the past week, there have been lot of anti King sentiments regarding his 'takeover'. There's been a big hue and cry about loss of democracy in Nepal.

We've seen democracy and what has it given us? Nothing. It's made the situation in Nepal worse day by day to the point that there was not even a glimmer of hope for Nepal or Nepalese.

The only hope for Nepal was for a powerful leader to stand up and take charge; and the King has done exactly that. Nepal cannot stand more bickering of these incompetent and corrupted politicians who are killing the soul of mother Nepal little by little.

We wanted democracy because that was in fashion. We tried it out, and we know that it does not work. Democracy is good for a country with a strong foundations and infrastructures in order to provide a good governance. But, for a country like Nepal without any foundations nor infrastructures, the hue and cry for Democracy is like trying to add floors after floors to a house with cracked foundations.

In a country where more than half the population does not even know the definition of Democracy - democracy is only a tool for the select few involved in politics - to show dissent towards the governing body - in order to fulfill their own little projects on the side. Nepal is not ready for democracy. Nepal will be ready when we have a strong foundation and infrastructure.

At this point who can create this foundation and infrastructure? Can the maoists do this with their killing spree and disrespect for life? Can the different political parties even make any difference - while being busy trying to cash in on their 15 minutes of power? The answer is NOBODY can do it besides the KING.

The king is human, he's made mistakes in the past. His son is not the ideal kind of person that we would like him to be. But, if you don't believe that this move by the KING creates some kind of HOPE for NEPAL, then you need to rethink your position and rethink what is good for NEPAL and the Nepali. This is the only hope that Nepal has in order to get out of the mess it's in right now. Instead of creating hurdles and creating more difficulty for the King, it's time for all of us to come together and lend a helping hand so that the King is able to do what he's set out to do. Let him get rid of all the corrupt politicians - we don't need them. Let him try to bring some highly awaited peace in Nepal - because he's the only person who has the ability to do so.

There are no other alternatives. I've seen people go into fanciful episodes of describing their utopias. But, they need to come down to earth and understand that their utopias are just a figment of their imaginations. This is reality. Only the King is capable of doing what needs to be done, and he needs us to be behind him not against him.

One of the most important undertaking for the King right now would be to build an EAST to WEST highway in Nepal that connects Nepal as a whole. In this emergency rule, he should be able to direct a chunk of the coffers and aids and the property of corrupted politicians into this project.

... to be continued

ajsab01,
Kasto nalayek jasto kura gare. Murkha bhanau chalkh dekhinchau. Hahahah

Anyways, maoist hunu bhanda ta ma politician ra royalist nai hunchu. Thukka.

But then again arko rumor nafailau, baag ayoo baag ayoo hola "ajsab01 ra baag".

Confused, I understand your point of view and i throughly respect it. But my personal belief is, who among all these so called leaders is honest, fair, understanding, educated, and also garnishes enough clout to lead us? No, really....

In absence of that, I think considering the current circumstances, for peace first and then democracy in due time is how my heart and also my mind psychs me.

pieces, bro i have always liked you and respected your views. I do beilve and I have not had double standards. I think, learn and explore, before i decide anything.

"communication blackout"

what gives kings right to control FM radios and their services? ofcourse, i will take the communication balckout for a day or two, but more than that, closing the door to the world in this 21st century?? you think that is a valid move?? you think he has good motives behind such moves?

"If somebody have good car and one homeless ask for that car, would you give it to the homeless?"

My analogy on this was to get thru ppl's head that KIng will not give Democracy back to ppl so eaisly. A postion he accquried with planning and cleverness, u think he will give it back to ppl so fairly easily?

and you saying giving out basic needs, ofcourse, that sud not be on question right now, HELLO!! its 21st century...

When more than half hardly could afford bread ,other half who was with Neta were driving Pajero.

Who do you blame for such situation, netas or Jantas, or both equally??..we need a fresh start brother, a new nation, a free Republic .

Great Job on the line below. I love it!

"Tara pahile openly Neta ko kartut agadai lyauda ni HAMILE K NAPYOU TA? Ani Confused bro timile chai K GARYOU NI? "

Whatever was coming out in the so called democratic nepal before, people were neglecting, law was neglecting and nets were of course neglecting...lawlessness and neglect basically invited Feb 1!
Looking at the news today of better phone ettiquette of government officials and better waste management in just a week, it is so shameful for netas to not even be able to do that for 14 years!!!
cha kasailai kehi bhannu? Over and Out!

I was at standard 8 when entire Nepal unite for democracy. I didn't even know what was it all about but what I had thought was- probably there would no longer be the King in our country. And I was excited. I didn't even know what wrong he had done but still I was excited. I remember, I even told my dad, "why not you be the PM of the country -now it is going to be people's government anyway"

K.P. Bhattarai became acting PM of the country. He showed some changes like constitution was re-written, election date was fixed, parliamentary system replaced panchayati system. But what I had thought about king was wrong. Such re-written constitution again assigned power to the King to play. Again there was the King but then he was "constitutional monarchy" but somewhere, somehow he was still ahead of anything.

ELECTION KO LAHARA AYO BARILAI. This excited everybody. Nepal people gave majority to NC and ULM as strong opposition. But our unfortunate the Netas whom we trusted most started decieving us. There started faction and fracture. There started battle between so called great leader Ganesh Man and Girija, Krishna and Girija, NCP and UML and what not. Nobody had any clue what the fck they wanted. For sure Ganesh Man wanted his Wife and Son some Kurshi. Krishna wanted something for his Kapali ,UML wanted another Chunab and finally Girija wanted everything SINGO NEPAL.

Everybody single freak wanted to be Mantri. Aba khor ma basda basda marna lageko jangali haru Singha Darbar bhitra pasnu pauda ta Chor haru lai Indrasthan nai bhayeko thiyo. Girija finally dissolve parliament and recalled for another election. ABA LOOT KO DHAN FUPU KO SHARAD GARNU PAYEKAI THIYO, BAJE LAI K MATLAB.

Then Madan and Asrit was killed, but dont know how. Election was recalled for second time. Masal boycotted the election and went into Jungle. Within no time we started something new. STREET RIOT AND NEPAL BANDH. Soon it became a scheduled event.

Second election was worth watching as we see in hindi movie how Bihari Bhaiya win the election. (Guys I am not faking - I was in Bhairawa at that time and I saw what had happend). Pro-monarch of panchyati era was now democratic leader. ULM came to the power with Milijuli Sarkar. It collapse when one party pull of the ruling coaliation. It happen again and again and again. It was no more novel occurence. I litterally started to forget who used to be PM of Nepal.

Then came Girija. YET another government has collapsed. The political crisis arose when the GPK, resigned after one of his partners pulled out of the ruling coalition. He was reappointed to the prime ministership by King Birendra, the new government?the sixth since the last general election in 1994?freaking six time.

In the name of developement we even saw Politics in dumping site. We saw Pajero of every single MP. We saw Zee TV and Star TV. And we saw HULDANGA, CHAKKA JAM, NEPAL BANDH. Girija, Makune and their alike sucked whatever possible they could. Sujata came back from Germany, Arju came from middle of nowhere. Politician like Khumbhadur Khadka, Govinda Raj Joshi became millioniar overnight. My used-to-be ideal Mod Nath Prasit didn't even let his chance go. Bam Dev claim himself as Sahid and let his son go to china in Scholarship Khota especially meant for Sahid ko Santan. In that sense he was living Sahid. Ministers even claim themselves to be sukambashi and occupy the land meant for actual sukambashi. Lets not talk about Kanda -LC Kanda, Lauda Kanda, Arun Kanda. Our politician didn't spare the major industries of Nepal and which are now in the verge of bankruptcy. The frequenty political interferece totally sabotage the existence of such industries- few to be named - Hetauda Kapada Udhyog (which was one of the sophisticated factory built by chinese during panchayat era), Bhrikuti Kagaz Kharkhana, Birgunj Chini Udhyog, Nepal Bank and so on.

So democracy was meant for our Charitra Hin Neta and Karyakarta. For us it was nothing more than Chiya-guff. And specially to me it was like soccer game between parties. Then people started looking at Maoist. We hoped may Maoist would bring everything under control. But who had thought those Maoist were tactically mobilized by our Neta. For your guys information I had been to so many Netas house not for the political purpose, I had heard them talking about Maoist as if Maoist are their allies. If you guys don't know - neta like khumbahadur khadka, pasupati samsher were backed by maoist to win the election.

Generic school of thought justify - if Maoist were real revolutionist they would have killed couple of Neta rather than karyakarta and would have caputer capital way ahead. They turned out to be moron like our Netas.

Massacre- Nobody knows the reality but I dont believe its Dipendra. I had always looked upon him as a living intelligent in Nepal. I cannot ignore his good side provin him drunkard or this and that. Post-massacre we saw the real power of the King. Then we had democratic government which remain silent and sane. My point is King was powerful then, now he is and will be always, then what so wrong when we finally got rid of moron politician? From the day one I had predicted that king would shacked the power one day and it finally happen. People like me are not surprised with KG's move.

These are post-democratic pictures of Nepal. Later if I have time I will explain how these series of events trigger today's situation and Later I will put something that I witnessed in Nepal during Democratic Era.

Ahile lai yeti nai....Lekhdai Garumla

pieces bro, have you read what Ghar jawaii has written ??

" i strongly believe that the greatest contributor for these politicians and officials to become Gusyaa and corrupt are no one other than Nepali janatas.

Every nepali janatas is divided between party lines. When "afnoo manche or afnoo party ko manche" lae illegal or ghuss khane or corrupt kam garcha everyone belong to that party keep their mouth shut. It's only when they see the people of other party doing the same thing they shout it out.

That is the very mentality of nepali political culture. " -- ghar jawaii..

it was nepali janta, who had all the responsibility on NEta's Shoulders. Democracy in their view was, just electing a Neta and they will do rest of the job. And yes, they did complete rest of the job, bringing us to such Radical Situation today.

ajsab01 dude

I'm should not tell you whom you should support or not and similarly no one should tell whom I should support or not as I can decide what I should do.

By the way, it's only been 4 years since I have reached the voting age. All those 4 years I have resided outside Nepal. Plz dont tell me that crap: "timiharulae elect gareko netaa haruu to me."

Finally, tyoo neta haru lai "chadaa saadhee(bull) jasto chadaa chadnee" kam kasle gareko..timi jasto janata lae hoinaa ? Netaa haru laii time hudaii pataa kassnaa pardaii naa thiyoo timi janata haruu laee? Chaadhaa netaa laii tahaa launaa nasaknee kasto maryaa syaal jasto timi janata.

Confused bro isn't this whole point we are trying to explain to each other. We were divided and subdivided you know why - becoz of lack of LAW AND ORDER we let go whatever Netas wanted. That is the key LAW AND ORDER.

Confused you said "dont blabber too much, if you do, i will point my gun at you, SHOOT YOU, and if you have a hot wife/gf, I WILL RAPE HER! I will even Take all you have and KEEp IT TO MYSELF! I WILL THROW YOU IN JAIL!...(dont even say, that wont happen to me, IT MIGHT!!) soroj, just trying to explain the meaning of dictatorship in a way YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND"

I think you are letting this get to your head too much faced with a losing argument and other posters acknowledgement of your dumbness. What makes you so sure the above hasn't happned to someone during the period of democracy. Your mother/sister could have been gang raped and you made to suck everyone's dick under pointed gun during the so called period of democracy as well. Just trying to explain how the democracy we used to have was not RIGHT, in a way you would understand.

Anyways I suggest you to keep your discussions and logics clean. You don't have to go where you went. But I can take your cue very well. If you really want to continue this discussion, why don't you write what the solution for the country would be if not the king.

ajasb01 dude

People who love to move backward will definately love pre-1990 era. They have this wonderful mentality of attempting of halting progress. People should look forward and move forward not backward.

In the history of every country in this world, there are great times of glory and painful & desperate times as well. If people were to halt all progress and go back into time, all Shah kings including Ganendra would have still remained no more than a puppet king (since 1848 when Jung Badhur Rana seized power) under some Rana Shree 3 Prime Minister.

Ghaar_Jawaii well i dont think nepal will go back ward..in fact it will go forward three times faster.. i dont know which country you are comparing nepal situation with... you cant look at all democrtic country and compare it. if thats the case all the people in nepal should be called ram or shayam or jhon. well let me give you another example.....
lets see who you choose... between garma paleko kukur and vusya kukur... ...garma pale ko kukurle will protect malik and the house no matter what (malik beeing nepali janta and gar being our country) cuz they are trined that way.......but busay kukur....they are always fighting trying to mark teratorey which they never could and always fighting for piece of meat ( pm ko post).....and make lots of noise all of them are after one thing....wellllllll........i think you got the idea what i am talking about....
well have you hear the term..... gu lai chalayo vane ganuncha........ well if you had flushed the gu in the begning you would not have had that problem. so i think its time to flus all the gu.................what do you think...........

Definately netaas were corrup and they were destined for doom, but Ganendra is no different, no body knows where the hundreds of millions of dollars in donation from governments and individual Buddhists from countries such as Japan, Thiland, Burma, Vietman, Sri Lanka etc poured into Lumbini Development Trust and the work never completed even after 20 years.

Nobody knows where the money goes becasue no one has guts to ask why, where and how to the Chairman of the trust who is Ganaendra since the begining of Lumbini Development Trust.

So please do some research on his own conduct before writing.
