guys, please share your humiliating moments with .why always try to be no. 1, let's try to laugh @ ourselves sometimes.
i'm sure most of you all have one.
i have one, it's a bit lenghty but i hope you'll enjoy.

there was a quiz competition @ our school.there were 2 participants from each house( red, blue, green and yellow).there was a lot to memorise so i and my partner divided the boook into 2 and read each of our shares.i was 100% prepared with my part.
so the competition began and it went quite smooth.many times, it so happened that we already knew the answer when the interrogator was halfway through the question.and many participants were chipping in with answers before the whole question was read.
when it was our turn, the question began but halfway through the question i realised i knew the answer and so i gave the answer.
the interrogator told me to let him finish the question and then answer. i felt insulted so i told him i already knew the answer.but when he finally read the question, it wasn't as i had expected.
i had read for the question "the great stupa of boudha was built by whom?". i had stopped him when he was still in "the gr8 stupa of boudha was built..."
when he finished the question, it was "the gr8 stupa of boudha was built when?".

god, i didn't know the answer for that one.i felt so humiliated,i wished the soil would break apart and i could go into soil as Sita did.
hope you guys understood the funny part.

well...as i look back..nth's really striking me..perhaps the pressure of finals is getting on my nerves...but one funny incident jus struck me! My principal had this annoying habit of yellin "WHy WHy WHy making noise!" (very shrill n pissin):s . So, I used to be this person who used to love mimickin....n then one fine day....we were all studying inside a hall. After lunch, it was time to study. So i got back to the hall. I was getting naughty, trying to scare my frens .. i decided to make an entry tellin the same "why why dialogue...".of my principal...being very careful about careful mimickin i enter the hall slowly lifting the curtain i yell "WHY WHY......" ani ta dhyantaran.......princi ta etro golbedha jatro akha le malai ghurira :(
ani ta lurukka parera i joined my frens.......gosh!! i was scard as hell then.....n makes me smile now... :)

Well, one day I missed the school bus, this wasn't anything new but I remember that day very well. There was this friend of mine who's dad was a doctor and we lived near a hospital and she used to stay there too. I called home, but no luck. So, my friend called home and then, her mom was like ok i'll be there. Well, she did come but came in an "ambulance". And we could do nothing but go to school in an ambulance. And we told the driver, "dai, please gate ko agadi rokdinu hai" . But, that idiot took the ambulance inside the school and stopped it in front of the office..goshhh..everyone was laughing their asses off. Well, to be it was really humiliating at least, I donno if you guys find it funny but I do.

maidenfreak, that was really funny.
thanx for sharing with us.see at least u,thapap,Moneyminded, uff and timetraveller were bold enough to share your stories.thanx guys.
k ho, noone else had any day like ours?

let me put one of mine

i think 2 months ago, we had a heavy snowfall. i had to go to work and the snow had piled up on the subways.i had slip resistant boots on. at one station. i had to transfer to another train becoz of some problem. i saw everyone going down the stairs carefully. i was getting late and here they are clinging to the siderails and taking each step so slowly as if they were walking on the moon.deciding to go ahead(since i had my slip resistant boots on) i stepped on the stairs and i heard a shriek which was actuallly me and the next thing i know i'm down at the bottom of the staircase.golly, now isn't that humiliating?
i got up somehow .thanx to my heavy outfit, i didn't l get any injury.
the hurting part was noone even offered help.they were just staring at me as if an alien just came out of the flying saucer.
i really missed my nepali people there, had they been there ,they'd have definitely helped.

Okay, Let me be brave enough and share my night of total disaster ! :))

Spring of 2005 - It was the eve of Saint Patrick's Day. I was supposed to get done with my work by 5 pm, and had plans to meet my friends in another city(City Y) 40 mins away. One of my friend's friend (a TOTAL hottie) was supposed to meet me so that we could head City Y together. My work held me back, and we ended up deciding to grab something to eat before we headed out.
Dinner:
Having chosen a Thai restaurant- we sat to order the meal. I chose something spicy, and despite getting numerous warnings by the waiter, I still insisted that I knew what I want. (heck- i wasnt gonna look like i didnt know what I was talking about.) The guy asked me if Nepalese food was spicy, and i say "uh-huh, unlike the food here" (I was subtly teasing him for the bland food he had chosen). Everything went well, my food was there. I eat a spoonful, and I choke on it.(tyo kahile kahi sarkinchha ni) Although it wasnt the fact that it was spicy, and rather my hurry to eat that made me choke, the hottie totally ended up laughing at me saying "aha! Miss-I eat spicy food." I had to gulped a whole glass of water, and with my face still red, we both ended up laughing. :((..I totally made a fool of myself !!!

Ok here's my most embarassing/humiliating moment:

It happened in sajha itself few months back. I liked this song called "She" by Elvis Costello from the movie Notting Hill. I still like this song to death, one of my all time favorites.

ACTION:
=======
That time I was so excited to share its lyrics with my fellow sajhaites, so decided to open this thread "She" and wrote its lyrics myself (of course I know the complete song ;)). I, however, did not mention that it is from the movie, partly becasue I thought the song is very popular so its unnecessary and partly because I was being careless.

CONSEQUENCE:
===========
Many people thought that I wrote the peom (or song whatever) and started appreciating me, so the thread started growing, understandeably because the lyrics was so magical. And to make the sitatuation worse, I was about to go out of town for a couple of days without seeing the thread response.

Luckily before I moved, I decided to log into sajha (may be it was one of those sixth sense things that worked for me :)) and saw the overwhelming response to my "She". I tried to clarify that it was not my work and just an inspiration which encouraged me to start the thread. I hope everybody understood my point as I was just trying to dedicate the song to the ladies. I still sing this song to my "virtual" gf ;). Some people however still think I was trying to act smart and try to pull my legs even now because of that.

Indi knows its better :), right Indi? ;)

Lonely...

For those of you who are curious about the song, here is the lyrics:

============================
She
May be the face I can't forget
The trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay
She
May be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day

She
May be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
The smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside her shell

She
Who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so private and so proud
No one's allowed to see them when they cry
She
May be the love that cannot hope to last
May come to me from shadows of the past
That I'll remember till the day I die

She
May be the reason I survive
The why and wherefore I'm alive
The one I'll care for through the rough in ready years
Me
I'll take her laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I've got to be
The meaning of my life is

She
She, oh she
============================

Hahahahahaha Lonely bro :)

Yeah yeah I know. But that person was not acting smart, but was just pulling your leg in jest RE;)

In good-faith, between you and "him" - it shall be well understood that it was mere enthusiasm on your part. But if you take those freindly jives by heart, I guess it has to stop eh? "He" says -> Okay! :(

But that "She" did inspire "him" to pen down something that "he" actually liked. But you would not even care for a "thank you" note, would you? :p

In jest,
IndisGuise:)

lol....Indi bro....
Friendly jives indeed...One of the reasons which entice me personally to come in sajha again and again....:) and yes, haven't taken them literally by heart bro :)

And needless to say that the "something" that you managed to pen down was worth a big applause, and you indeed got a big applause from the readers, didn't you? Perhaps the group applause was too loud that mine might have failed to reach your ear in which case here you go again... *applause*. :)

Come again bro...

Lonely.

P.S. Don't forget to pen down your embarassing moments too, if there are any. We already owe that to Lonely gurl now for digressing from the topic a bit...:)

Guys,
According to the thread title, we were suppose to talk about the most humiliating moment but I think everyone is talking about the most embarassing moment, not the humiliating moment.
