If you read Nepal's history than you'll know about selling your motherland by so called your kings and his bhardars. Birbhadra sold deheradun we have heard about the history about nala pani and sugauli sandhi with the then East India Company in 1816. After this agreement by collaborating with the imperialistic forces, the Nepali ruling class felt protected from the outside intervention and started a dictatorial rule without any fear. they sold more than half of what Nepal's boundry is today. al the plains from east to west hills and plains beyond mechi and hills and plains beyond mahakali. even mahendra sold half of sagarmatha ans well as upper north to china just because he can be a dictator.but because nepal's history is fake we have not being able to know all the truth about how much has palace taken from the jantas.

i do not claim to know history much. but for sure there is no"Birbhadra" of nepali historical significance.

Mahendra was one of the most important factor in the downfall of Nepal. All of the Shah kings have done is to broaden their terrority at the expense of blood of native people . they have done not a SINGLE thing that benifitted the nepali people in general.

people who support monarchy i respect your stand. but believe me monarchy won't last for long. there is no RELEVANCE of an expensive monarchy in a dirt poor country succumbed by a conflict. if monarchy does survive it will at the expense of My brothers and sisters blood on both sides. and i am so done with this bloodshed. i hope gyane ji will go to his private island and take his JANATA with him happily. we poor nepali will even pay for their tickets out from our "gundruk bhat" money.

Can't say much about who is right and who is wrong in this thread, but one thing I know for sure is that History is written by the Winners. So, even if it is wrong or exaggerated, the people in power can and do make a concerted effort to mold the records and accounts to suit their views and legacy.

So, yes, I would certainly think twice before believing what was hammered into our brain through Mahendra Mala and other similar textbooks. I think we know better now.

If he had just a little love for the country and the people he would go and talk to the King when he was called so many times both publicly and privately. Have you read Nepalnews ko Taranath Ranabhat ko interview in which he said he himself went to call Girija several times because the King wanted to talk to him about the country. Why didn't he go?
