Eventough the accent even within the country differs but what do you think is sweeter accent?

If you can hang on to your "British" accent, it works wonders in the US! People automatically think you are smarter, more polite, and friendlier.

In Britain, an American accent makes you seem "brasher" and more likely to be good at customer service and business in general!

Neither is really based in fact, but there you go!

I love Irish accent and I hate southern American accent.
Poeple here in mid-west don't like british accent. One of their typical response when I said our country follows british education system: "But you don't talk funny like them!"

Not any British accent, I am fond of English accent. But NOT London's cockney, mind you. This person in my office is from England and speaks magnificently.

Among American accents, I like Californian. When I was a kid, I loved to hear Ronald Reagan speak. I don't enjoy hearing George Bush or even his wife. I guess that shows I am not too much of a fan of Southern accent. But then, I like New Orleans accent - like the one that Ewan McGregor so masterfully used in Big Fish. I found Scandinavian accent quite funny; check out Fargo.

Accents that I am NOT fond of:

NY/NJ (New Joisy)
Eastern European, particularly Yugoslav.
CJKV (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese)
Indian Subcontinent (including mine own: Nepali)

Accent that I ABSOLUTELY ABHOR:

Wannabe accent. There are some FOB Nepricans who like to speak English like Americans. By itself that is fine. But they muddle it up and sound absolutely horrible. Those of you who have this accent, you know who you are.

George Bush, Laura Bush, Tom Delay and Bill First - 4 reasons to hate the southern accent. Laura Bush has more pronounced accent than Bush. I just hate those long vowels ewwww... Ve(hi)chle... what the hell is that??
OMG Keira Knightly, doesn't matter how she speaks or for that matter what she speaks.... I just love her -period- Can't believe she is younger than me..
