According to the organizers, due to heavy public demand, they're holding yet another cocert with Raju Lama and Mongolian Heart, Nima Rumba, Tsering Gyurmey, Mingma Sherpa and Sindhu Malla.

Sukmit Gurung will be joining this time along with two very popular Tibetan singers, Phurbu T. Namgyal and Tenzing Woeser.

don_key - 'cmon, your birthday too.

Without being judgemental and accepting you on your word, can I buy you a beer? $5 rebate sounds so lame now that it's already been offered to one other sajhaite. Let's be innovative with what we can offer each other, or what I can offer?

Here it is again, a video ad, in case the one on this thread gets hidden soon or others haven't realised that it's also on the event section of Sajha.com.

Is someone making the tickets available on Ebay....?

I heard that someone is making duplicates using Adobe Indesign CS2.

You're giving bad name to the 'khaobaadis' of Nepal who I'm sure don't go after measly $30 tickets. They go for the kill, I hear. he he he

C'mon Khaobadi, someone talented enough to use Adboe Indesign CS2 (whatever that is, sounds high tech), ought to be duplicating better things, don't you think?

And E-bay is busy hoarding PS3.

Rockend - For a $5 rebate and to have them wish you a Happy Birthday from the stage... I need a little bit more info on you - for a starter, your REAL NAME. No, no, you don't have to announce it here.... you can write to me at ssNY@sajha.com.

Any other suggestions from you? Will be glad to pass it along.

Don_key - request to write to me goes for you too as I've promised you a beer.

Himalaya Community capped off it's very successful two concerts in New York by thanking and handing out certificates last night, December 29, 2006, to all artists and volunteers at Himalaya Yak Restaurant in Jackson Heights, New York.

Gratitude shown by the organizers were immense and the smiles on their faces were just as huge. Except for a few, artists were all there, from professionals to the future stars. Everyone who attended were left with a good feeling that their time and effort were well recognized by these wonderful organizers from the Himalaya Community.

This volunteer, though, was left with a question, who will appreciate these organizers who spent so much time and effort, blood and sweat, in organizing these herculean tasks - from bringing artists (10) from Nepal, 1 from Minnesotta, taking care of all of them here in NY, etc. etc. etc. and then putting up the shows?

Who will give them the certificates?

So, fellas at Himalaya Community, job well done!
