Swaati--im also a great fan of palpa.
These pictures are so reminiscent of my trip to Palpa, nice photographs. All look the same. But, ranimahal looks extraordinarily palatial in the photograph. Last time we were there, ranimahal was in ruins. It looked more like a haunted house. The ceilings, its wooden gazebos were on the point of collapse. And a 10 hour long trek downhill to reach there and back up again to tansen bazaar, was so frustrating. The trail offered no scenic views but a walk by the bank of a river was pleasant. And the cliff close to the threshold of tansen bazaar was terrifying. the view from srinagar dada on the horizon was mesmerizing.
nice pics

my favorite place in Nepal, where I was grown up..Where I saw the faces in desperate need of education and did a lot to acheive it , and now we can see a war of FMs not in Kath but in Palpa so amazed by it, though never unexpected...see the peoples desire for information over there....the attitude of people towards education n information is incredible. I love Palpa specially my shillong tole called Bartung 9 km down from Tansen, where the road to Pokhara n Tansen is seperated.

Nice work Swaati, Zorte ko woralo, Argeli ko phat would add spice to the pictures.
Yes, Tanseen is developing, they better find sustainable solution to water scarcity and waste disposal.
Sense, you know people from Bartung, like our singer brother's relatives and others (you know who I am talking about).
Srinager is now like a little fortress, because of the realy tower and its security need.
Whatever, Palpa swings, and it is even pleasent as it is gateway to my ancestral place.

nice pics, swaati!!!

i had been to tansen 12 yrs back... then, we were on a tour... stayed near the tansen buspark for a night.... went to shrinagar and tansen hospital... saw narayan mandir on the way back.. obviously, tansen is one of the most beautiful places in nepal... similar is Dhankuta Hiley...

well, just curious, people:
Does the Ranimahal have anything to do with the Ridi durbar mentioned in the movie, Prempinda (which is a fiction of course)...

I dont if it is true, but once i heard that all the pine trees at srinagar dada were to be cut down.... is that true? i hope it is not....
