Now that I am finishing up with my undegrad., I am looking forward to expand myself, academically.

But I am little confused as where to explore and indulge next two years while being burdened by financial obligations. So, as every student, my concern is where can I find good schools with satisfactory financial help. Adding to that is my uncertainity--what I really would like to do?. I dont really fancy jumping into the workforce or even continuing with the degree that I have( Majored in Comp. Science).

So, if you can be kind enough and pass me some information then it would be appreciated. I did look through online but its mostly garbage. What I am looking here are sites, univ programs and other career guiding portals to help me decide.

Thanks in advance

yah...look into the US news ranking and select 3 top schools, 3 mediocre and 2 so so... depending upon your academic desire...

grad school is all about research. go for one which matches your research interest, which has enough resources. TA/RA/GA...come as financial support for grad students. start contacting faculties, if they find a match in you, your're all set. g'luck!

for computer science,
some of the good schools are MIT (of course), GA tech, UT Austin, UC Berkley, Carnegie Mellon....

Another issue to keep in mind apart from research possibility is the University's relation with the industry. How efective are the job fairs??? how serious is the university regarding placement. In our field of study ( applied science ) its not what you know matters...its what you can do with what you know kicks a.ss.Plan ur grad studies towards finding a job before you graduate.
good luck
