Here is one more reason:

Prachanda, Baburam and dozen Maoist cadres get clean chit

The Special Court has issued clean chits to Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', senior leader Baburam Bhattarai and over a dozen Maoist cadres on a charge of treason.

A three-member bench of justices Gauri Bahadur Karki, Bhola Prasad Kharel and Om Prakash Mishra acquitted the accused in the case of Bandipur Police Post attack, on January 26, 2001 saying the government could not provide enough evidence to support its claim.

The erstwhile government had filed a case against Prachanda, Bhattarai and almost a dozen Maoist cadres on February 16, 2001 seeking a ten-year jail term each on charges of involvement in the attacks. Two Maoist cadres, Padam Rana and Keshav Raj Sigh were arrested in connection with the attacks, but the Special Court released them later.

The Special Court has recently started to revive cases which were pending for many years due to the failure of defendants to respond to the court notices.

The Maoists cadres who have been given clean chits are Govinda Prasad Paudel, Dev Raj Subedi, Lalu Kisan Sharki, Dhruba Ghimire, Araj Kumar B.K., Nanda Bahadur Khadka, K.B Roka, Gam Bahadur Shrestha, Yam Nath Acharya and Nara Bahadur Thapa. nepalnews.com Jun 03 09

Deshbhakte!
I think you posted on the wrong thread. LOL!

Mr Ghale chose Melbourne because it looked more attractive on the poster than that of UK or US?

That's a paradigm-shift in the connotation of well known parable which should now instead read as "Sometimes (if, not always) judge a book by its cover"

Anyway, it's an inspiring success story.

If anyone is not born in Nepal, then he/she is not Nepali.
To be pure Nepali, one needs to be born in Nepal.

Hope Nepal government will take notice of this and be strict in defining what and who is Nepali.

Nepal would have been equal par as the japan, korea and other Assian nations should there have been
no indian as our neighbor.
what do you think folks?

Yes i am proud of being Nepali.  Nepal is UNIQUE!

Jai Nepal. May the glorious name of Nepal last as long as the sun.

Nepal cannot be a fail nation forever. Only significant changes are taking place now.
More and equal opportunities are being fight for the people by the people.
10 years ago and before, only certain class of people were given opportunities to work at civil, government and many other government-related posts and administrations.
Now this is changing. People have demanded and is fighting for equal opportunity for all.

Nepal is only 1 years now since the over throw of monarchy. Hence within 5 years i would see Nepal
moving towards positive direction.
China also have contract with Melamchi water project. I am positive about this.

Keep on positive side. Nepal cannot be always be a fail state.

This is like saying, "I am proud to be an American because Bill Gates is the richest man on earth!"

How about I am proud to be a Nepali because Nepal has NO law and order
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because in Nepal law applies only to common people without money or power
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because Nepal can't provide basic human right to its people
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because Nepal can't provide basic necessities like water to drink and clean air to breathe.
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because it can't even provide electricity to its people. when the world is trying to go green, Nepal is talking about burning fossil fuel to generate electricity!
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because Nepal can't provide safety and security to its people.
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because we are completely dependent on India for everything including TV programs!!!
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because until recently, our country was being run by Terrorists.
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because all we do it riot, fight with each other, burn tyre, CLOSE DOWN THE COUNTRY whenever we want no matter what the cause!
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because Nepal can't provide good health care to its people.
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because Nepal can't provide good education to its people.
How about I am proud to be a Nepali because all we want to do is get out of Nepal and not come back (evident by the no. of student who go abroad and not return back and also evident by the no. of EDV lottery we apply).

Someone said
"Nepal is one of the oldest civilization."- so what so is greece! and bytheway, Nepal is NOT one of the oldest civilizations.. read your history.
"Birthplace of Lord Buddha," Also a birthplace of Prachanda.
"Abode of Siva Mahadev," Can you prove that? God resides everywhere.. s/he is omnipresent.
"Home of the Bravest of the Braves," Every country has some brave people... no need to jump.
"Home of Sherpas," Also home of Bahuns, newars, magars, etc.. so what?
"Roof of the World," Its nto there because you made it.... not like saying we have the pyramid!
"Unique culture & tradition strives," which is depleting everyday... hurray!!!
"Nepal is not colony of any country,(parasites Indian were slaves/shudras of British raj)" Look where India is today and where we are (not saying India is better.. just presenting some relativity)
"Nepal is rich in water resources. (able to flood the whole India)" ya right. Keep dreaming.

"Nepal is one of the oldest civilization."
Kiranti people are aborigines of Nepal. This aborigine is one of the oldest in the Indian sub-continent. These kiranti people are mentioned in ancient religion book of Hindu like VEDA,PURAN,MAHABHART,SWASTHANI BRATA KATHA,HIMAVAT KHANDA ETC.These people are also mentioned in ancient Greek history, Chinese history and holy book of Sikh guru nanak. Sir John Hammerton has pointed out that the kiranti people originated from Babylon and was associated with Greek.
The Greeks had also known the Kirats by the name of Kirhadai. The last remnant of the ancient Kiratite or Cherethite tribe was found recorded in the book of 2 Samuel, 15 - 18. They were a martial tribe during the reign of the Syrian King David in 1049 BC. ~Prachin Bharat ka Rajnitic aur Sanskritik Itihas by Rati Bhanu Singh Nahar, page 231

"The epic and Puranic location of the Kiratas in north-western extremities and other parts of northern region is not only supported by foreign (Greek and French) accounts, but also by a number of other reliable evidences.pg 122"  The Kiratas in Ancient India by G.P Singh, 1990

Sir John Hammerton in his book called “Early Races of Mankind", mentions that probably in the 4000 BC, there was a civilized race of mankind on the lower Euphrates of the Mediterranean region described as Mongolian or Summerian of the Cheldean. They had their own independent forts or towns. They used to fight for their border line and had erected an inscribed stone pillar of agreement in the middle of their boundaries. The defeated town never agreed to live under their enemies. They used to quit their native place for good and migrate to other countries. In like manner, in about 3000 BC, a big horde of people left their native place and came to the east and established the Chinese Empire. There is no doubt that the Kirat-Ashur people came to North India earlier than the Aryans yet they had known them very well in Persia.

It is well known that in the Mahabharata the Cinas appear with the Kiratas among the armies of king Bhagadatta of Pragjyotisa or Assam . In the Sabhaparvan this king is described as surrounded by the Kiratas and the Cinas. In the Bhismaparvan, the corps of Bhagadatta, consisting of the Kiratas and the Cinas of yellow color, appeared like a forest of Karnikaras .

Hence Indian sub-continent(Nepal) civilisation is as old as the Chinese and also the Greek.
Sir John Hammerton in his book “Early Races of Mankind" said that there is relation between Kirat civilization and ancient Babylon and Mesopotamia. What it can clearly prove that kiranti were known in west as well not only in Indian sub-continent.

Hence Nepal is one of the oldest civilization is a proven fact.
so someone need to re-educate himself for your information!!

"Abode of Siva Mahadev"

Everyone Hindus & Buddhist can tell you Siva abode is Mt. Kailsah and the Himalayas range. Again this points to Nepal.

"Home of Sherpas" because every nation outside Nepal knows Sherpas!

"Nepal is not colony of any country,(parasites Indian were slaves/shudras of British raj)" Look where India is today and where we are (not saying India is better.. just presenting some relativity)

Indians involve too much in Nepal's internal matters. do you need to know more!!
