Why pay any attention to what Such-Shit Sham Sher Rada says?
Talk about burying ones head in the sand : Kathmandu is really Nepal and nothing the people outside Kathmandu counts . Because it is "semi-educated" migrants who are protesting on the streets this movement has less legitimacy and will fizzle out either when they dont get enough to eat or if they get tired of protesting. We can live in islands of prosperity surrounded by vast seas of misery as long as we have the might to protect our lives and assets. Places such things have been heard before : Russia 1917, Iran 1979
Its not Mr Rana saying all these but the sentiment expressed by him in that interview is reflective of the thinking of a lot of Kathmandu elites today. The best option, in my opinion, for Kathmandu's whining elites is to join the democratic bandwagon : if not out of conviction then out of elightened self-interest because if this movement results in the overthrow of the Monarchy and the King flees, there is no doubt whose houses and property these "semi-litterate villagers" will be after!
