TPS for Nepal Could be Revived, Senators Urge Action!
U.S. Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) are calling on the Biden administration to promptly re-designate or extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to the fullest extent allowed by law for all eligible countries. In Virginia, 28,225 individuals are currently protected under TPS, including 325 from Nepal, as well as people from Afghanistan, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Ukraine, Venezuela, and other nations.

It is a long weekend, and I am heading south. I even took an extra day off tomorrow. If TPS gets extended, congratulations to all my Nepali brothers, sisters, and friends. If it does not, stay positive and remember the saying, "Sometimes, a strong wind makes the coconut fall from the tree—you do not always have to climb." A coconut? What the heck? But hey, be happy either way!
