This is the response they filed for the question the judge asked last Friday. Ending Nepal’s TPS designation doesn’t by itself put anyone behind bars. It simply means those former TPS holders no longer have protection from removal and, if placed in immigration court, must show another legal reason (like asylum) to stay. Only once there’s a final removal order could they face detention under the usual rules.

Since February 2025, they’ve been issuing about 500 NTAs per week for asylum cases and 100 per week for TPS cases.

You are correct. The visa overstay applicants who have married United states citizen cant adjust status through i-485 and have recieved NTA’s , and those who have EWOI have been placed directly in removal .

This administration is looking forward to call you to court and place you in detention center. They are building 12 more detention centre 3 times bigger than alligator alcratraz. This is the reason why BBB was passed and immigration circus hasnt been started yet according to conservatives.
