Balen vs UML

The United Mundrey Leaders (UML) are up in arms once again after their number one sukumbasis 'Bishnu Poudel' was arrested by the police. He is now facing money laundering charges and the court has sent him to a week in custody for now.

Our man Bishnu is the vice-chairperson of the UML and has been our Finance Minister not once but five times. On top of that he has been our Deputy Prime Minister, Defence Minister, Home Ministry and Energy Minister along the way.

Let us do some math. Ram Kumari Jhakri was our Urban Development Minister for a while and she made a few dozen crores. She and her family were seen enjoying the World Cup in America recently. Bishnu must have minted not a hundred but a thousand crores by extorting byaparis and even civil servants during his stints as ministers a dozen times.

We have all known that in the past two decades, the UML went on to become the richest party in town because they finally got the chance to be in the front seat after decades of Nepali Congress monopoly. I think they finally got the taste of 'free loot' money after waiting decades as the opposition wallahs.

In the past decades, our ministers have openly engaged in corruption but here in Nepal, most of the dealings are done by their personal assistants and the 'illegal' wealth is hidden in the name of their drivers, far cousins and even some guy ferrying goods in New Road in his doko.

And the CIAA have always been after the small fishes while the politicians never really got arrested except a few mantris from the Nepali Congress who were found guilty for a few crores of illegal wealth when the actual loot was more than hundreds of crores.

Bishnu Poudel was once a Sukumbaasi legally. And he did receive some land in the Butwal area three decades ago. The story is that he sold that land to buy some property in Baluwatar. And we all believe him!

I think Deepak Bhatta should just squeal and tell the investigators of all his shady dealings not only with Bishnu Poudel but with all the so-called thulo netas of the old political parties. We all know that Bhatta has given chiya kharcha to Oli, Deuba and Prachanda and was the main facilitator for the so-called unity between the Maoists and the UML then. I guess our so-called mainstream media were sleeping for the past two decades and they finally found a picture of Bhatta with Oli and Prachanda!

Our boy Mahesh Basnet, aka Bhogaty and Oli's unofficial son is ranting in Facebook as usual. He tells us that UML will fight back. And Oli has asked all 'loktantra' lovers to be united and fight this 'dictator'. I think Oli needs to understand that the tide has turned and majority of the folks know and were fed up with all the loot and voted for RSP for a change.

Oli was pissed that his jholeys did not come out on the streets and burn the country down when he was arrested back in March. And he will once again be pissed when his jholeys stay home instead of wanting to get rained down by laathis when they are out on the streets burning tyres and destroying public property. The dhoonga haaning politics is over. Hope our Congress, UML and Maoist (CUM) jholeys realize this sooner and just get a decent job and take care of their families.

Oli and Lekhak were later freed by the court and the investigation is going on. Our UML jholeys think it will be the same with their man Bishnu but let's see if the CIAA does its job right and investigate honestly or work towards making the charges weak like they normally do for such high-profile cases.
