How do people in Nepal live with their parents for the rest of their lives?
Big question. Sano sano kura ma kichkich garchan buda budi haru.
How are people even able to stay with such folks for the rest of their lives as an adult. Specially the majority of their lives.
I am 27 and thinking of getting out
Father is alcoholic. He drinks starting from the time he wakes up till he sleep. He keeps drinking over the night time when waking. He is using his retirement pension to drink alcohol. This is really getting out of hand. This level of addiction has occurred since last 2 years.
Earlier also he used to drink but not from the morning itself. He used to drink after evenings.
When drunk, he has no sense, no memory of what he does. He is just aggressive and wants to fight with everyone when drunk. He is 62 years old ffs.
This issue of my father is not allowing myself to grow in life. If I had money, I would happily quit now. It is making me lose confidence. And thus I am not even getting a job. Even in the job that I got, I left it because my father felt it was a job of a peon and continuously harassed me emotionally leading to breakdown in the job.
I fear that I will become utterly useless person if I continue living in my home. Thus once I get a job that pays about 30,000 NPR per month, I plan to live in a hostel. Then once married I plan to live with wife in a flat instead of this house. Till the father is alive(And yes he will live till 90 years I know that).
