John - Liked the story. A bold theme no doubt but very well expressed and written. I absolutely agree with all those saying it is the writer's prerogative to do what he or she wants with their characters and story lines. To me a story or movie is not so much about expecting to read or see things I like and agree with. Rather, it is about hearing what the writer or director is trying to say - even if - I'd go as far as saying especially if - they say things you don't agree with. I clearly have my own views on the moral issue a story like this raises but thats not what I came here to read. I came to read a story and on that account, I commend you once again for a job well done. Keep it up! Best wishes.
