Ashu: “I really see no hope except sitting around and waiting for these aged netas to naturally die off one by one and thereby clearing the path for younger ones.” As long as Nepalese have this kind of attitude, the situation of the country will never get better. Nepalese people cannot let the political scenario of Nepal be on auto-pilot. Nepalese have to take themselves by their hands and actively oust these inept politicians. Or else Nepalese are as inept as them, as responsible citizens. On the other hand, I have yet to comprehend why we always talk high of ranas, or why Nepalese feel proud of be a rana or somewhat be linked to it? Aren’t the ranas that dragged Nepal into dark ages? Their 104 years of direct rule only brought negative progress in Nepal, and we have declared the day Ranas were overthrown as independence/democracy day. So why do some nepalese always praise or view Ranas with admire? Instead one should be ashamed to be a rana or be associated with one.
