If you ask me, do you choose to live under Girija and other hosts of ELECTED, mind you, leaders then I will say I would rather choose to live under Gyanendra. Look at amnesty. When there were 50 military personnel, (who were just 'pipa' the lowest rank, who are not combanant, went to build roads) were slaughtered Amnesty did not say a peep. Did you think for a minute, that is an atrocity, I must voice my outrage? Did you organize any rally? When Maoists skinned alive a teacher, did you arrange a protest march? When Maoists kill, kidnap, torture innocent pujari, gurads, do you invite your compadre to protest? Look at you people! Now the head of the state is coming to give a speech in the UN (that is the only thing we have, no matter how corrupted some of it personnel are), to put a face in Nepali people's suffering, you go and march with your hollow democracy nara. How shameful! AND on top of that YOU label me as a pro-king. One more thing. Look at china. If China had given into pressure of the students in Tinnamen square, it would not have been an economic power house as it is the case now. Free-market communists. That is working for China. Yeah yeah, there are many many poor displaced people, but I am pointing out the progress it has made creating a large middle class. You people are so blinded by the word democracy, you fail to see any other side of the coin ? the economy, StudiD!! (note: I do not condone the violence the chines government perpetrated on them. Of course here, I have to spell out everything) Why don't you concentrate your anti-monarchy SLOGAN on making our nation an economically sound country? Nepal Aama will be dhanya dhanya. Go back to your house and draw an economic blue print for Nepal. After you are successful, THEN go talk about you pet word - democracy. I only wish that if you had spent one percent of your anti-monarchy energy on Nepal's economic condition (and for the betterment of it), Nepal would not have been in such a sad state. Politics is what sports is for American Guys (and some girls). Politics for people like you, Nepe, anti-mon, nepe. It is a tamasha. Nothing else. Kothe rajniti garyo, basyo. Go get a halo and start digging fields! Only then democracy will flourish. or get out and experience some culture. You live in a culutre center of the world. Take advantage of that.
