Paras is 100 times more innocent than most of your leaders. Goons cannot be controlled by a sage, so paras sarkar fits perfect for all your netaj and cadres like you. He is good enough to kick butts of traitors who want to annex nepal to india

PARAS SARKAR KO JAI HOS/ TIMILAI KE HI BHANNU CHHA?? BUT I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT on your view.

Paras ko Jai Jaikar garne timilai pani pura adhikar deko cha Nepal ko kanoon  le. I do not have anything to say against that.

I am more into looking at the science of the situation rather than following anyone.

Shantipriya,

" Wak swotantrata or Freedom of speech"  ko beleiver bhayeko hunale sabai ko aafno bichar rakhna paune adhikar huncha bhaneko ho, kasailai kanoon padaune mero phursad chain ra ma kanoon expert pani hoina. It is your mere attempt to put words in my mouth. It does not change the fact about why Monarchy will not come back in Nepal.

Since the Monarchs are gone...lot more People are able have acccess to electricity, education and Drinking water number wise. Nepal is just not KTM valley. 20 years ago there were 2 Lakhs people in the valley...now there are almost 30 Lakhs, we share the same amout of water and electricity between 30 Lakhs now. Now do not try to put words in my mouth by posting Kings would have increased the supplies for todays need. I am not trying to prove it to you that Monarchs are equally as bad as the politicians but just giving you some facts. So after democracy indeed more people have access to Drinking water and Electricity.

@ Sidster

Do not write shit to substantiate your argument. How many hydroprojects did democratic government complete after 2046 for Nepalese people ? They did none. They gave all the big projects to india. It is after 2046 Nepal let India develope hydropower projects and sold electricity at the rate of Rs 2 per kW and in return bought from India at 10 per kW. What a far sighted vision! The main cause of load shedding is extension of line with no additional power generation. Recently, Prakash S. Mahat signed an agreement with an indian agency for likhu hydropower project. It is the most uniqe agreement in world's history as per Prakash Chandra Lohani. Nepal should provide transfer line to India.

All the HP projects that supply electricity to Nepalese people now were constructed during king's period. So make no roar on accesibility of electricity to more people. These leaders have no vision, even today they are following King Mahendra's 5 year plan. Nepals water resources should be used for us nepalese people, not for godfather of 'democratic' leaders, India.

sidster  would have learnt  time before 46 from the history books, but some of us here have experienced the time before 46. so kiddo sidster, first learn enough to know about the projects and development hisotry of nepal. I do not hesitate to teach even the other guy is complete idiot.  First lesson is well given by Nalapani, if you need second lesson on development after you are done here are some of those,

1. First Formal Planning started in Nepal during Panchayat- King Mahendra and Pashupati Shumshere-then CEDA professor were the Architect
2. Hydropowers in panchyat era- Panauti, Farping, Kulekhani, Bhotekoshi so on
3. Development Goal- " asiyali maap danda by 2000"-at least they have the vision/target unlike your inept political leaders who completely failed to draft 100 pages constitution.
4. All the highways were constructed and planned in panchayat era including BP Rajmargh. You claim that too happened because king is gone? King Gyanendra still had a vision to make nepal as transit point..poor guy had to go because idoit would not want him.

5. Cost of livng vs inflation -compare then and now ( this is basic ecnomic if you have ever learn few things about economy you should understand) -dispartiy between rich and poor is increasing
About monarchy, whether it comes back or not, that is different issue, why it has gone-educated people think it is 12pt understanding hatched by india and spam, not because of paras. Sorry to say only idiot  would only think the way you have analyze this issue.

( Telicommunication, Telivision, Radio Nepal, RONAST, RNAC, NPC, BANK..all were established before 46 tell me what new they have done?  Donot tell me INTERNT??lol)

DESTRUCTION AFTER 46-15000 people DIED!!!!
1. All the Sansthan are gone-bansbari chala jutta?, RNAC,? sajha yatayat,? krishi samagri sansthan? himal cement? bhrikuti paper mills? ORIENT MAGNESITE (RESEARCH SCIENCE ORGANISATION) so on..NEPAL OIL NIGAM used to sell MATTITEL in Rs 6.5/ltr even when Rajiv Gandhi imposed sanction. OIL NIGAM was still in profit-what do you want to say now???
2. Number of people living in Urban area can not be attributed to the development- rather it is indication of sheer underdevelopment of rural area. read some urban dynamics first sidster.
3. Criminal activities, law and order ???
4. Disintegration of cohesive society and social disorder??
5. Party politics and curruption?

I can go on and on mr sidster.  Only one thing is monarchy has gone, if that is the only achievement you have then you must be the kins of SPAMS.

Idiots,

I do not know why you went data digging on how Birendra and Mahendra were much better than Girija, Makune, Prachanda, Lokendra bahadur and surya bahadur. You still do not get the point do you? Do not make irelavant arguments. I do not praise either of the political leaders...so don't say "your leaders"...keep them for yourselves...for free.

Again, I agree with you that we had bunch of losers who led our country duriing democracy. My point is, regardless of how good Prithivi Narayan, Mahendra and Birendra were....people of Nepal will not accept Paras as a prince, King or the father of the King....get it??? Paras will not be able to bank on his uncle's and grandfather's well deeds. He is a " Thug" and will remain as a thug. He has a reputation of  " Uday and Kushay Hussain".

And people will not accept him becasue of his character regardless of what his uncle and grandfather contributed to Nepal. Because of Paras Gyanendra Could not keep his post. I was only answering you why Nepal will not have Monarchy ever again as long as Paras is around.

Personally, I do not give a FK if Paras becomes a king or not. I do not think any politicians these days are better or worse than Paras. They all are best at doing one thing, which is NOTHING !!

So what was your overall point....Since Birendra and Mahendra were so good...we should Make Paras a King????

kasto laamo jasto hau yo jaatha. Guys this sidster has no base for his bargemen but a totally blind theory that only he understands.  Ya we understand you hate him, we also know that you have personal reasons and no matter what Paras does you will always hate him.  You however make a fool out of your self by making stupid comments like this one......

"And people will not accept him because of his character regardless of what his uncle and grandfather contributed to Nepal. Because of Paras Gyanendra Could not keep his post. I was only answering you why Nepal will not have Monarchy ever again as long as Paras is around."

look around in Nepal Bro, everywhere the King and paras goes these days they are welcomed and hailed, people ask them to comeback and save Nepal. NOW... When King Gyanendra was King he had power to declare martial law and Army rule in Nepal. He was advised to come down hard on opposition BUT you know what he said....."if stepping down will bring peace to Nepal then thats what I'll do, if Nepali people want me to leave, I will leave, But please no more Bloodshed, No more Killings. If all this killings will stop from me stepping down than I accept the peoples choice". thats how great his majesty is, he gave up his Royalty. And look at how these leaders are still swinging at each other to scavenge leftovers from the worlds poorest country, our Nepal.
Monarchy will come in Nepal no matter what, and people like you
will always complain and HATE coz you never grew up, just the same old mentality. Paras being accountable and following the law like everyone now shows to us how much he has grown , matured since his teenage years............so havent we all grown up since our teenage lives???

Terobaje,

Paras was not in his teens when he was living a thug life. He was in his upper 20s and 30s when he was beating locals up with Royal Nepal Army Help. His acts cannot be compared with teenage acts such as stealing Neighbor's fruits or smoking pot under the bridge. You think Paras would be attending that court if his father or uncle was still the king of Nepal??? LOL...

Also, I understand that Paras has lots of fans, even on this thread there are 3 - 4 paras fans. But that number is not enough for him to become a King. He does not even have a popularity of the smallest party of Nepal. I think there are more Fan of Kamal Thapa than Paras and look at Kamal Thapa...he does not have enough people backing him to make any significant impact.

I do not know the exact dates....but a quick google on Paras gave me this link. I think it has pretty good references on what he has done. This does not include the fight he got into in Narayanghat, after getting beat up by the locals there, he came back with Royal Nepal Army Jawans and beat up the town.

Paras Shah

Prince Paras Shah, infamous after committing dozens of excesses, killed an innocent son of the people by running his Pajero over musician Praveen Gurung. This is the third time someone, who, as member of the respected Royal Family gets an annual allowance of Rs 300,000 (his wife, Himani, gets Rs 75,000), has killed a commoner.

Earlier, in 1997, a Pajero driven by Paras hit and killed taxi driver Sanukaji at Putafi Sadak. A year before that, a drunk Paras driving his jeep caused a similar accident in Bharatpur, Chitwan.

The people have also not forgotten the other excesses of Paras\'. In 1996 Paras assaulted a traffic police officer who had gone up to him to inquire about the lights used in his vehicle. About a week later, after hitting a motorcycle near Hattigauda he went around beating people assembled at the site of the accident. The same year, he drew out a pistol and spread terror at Hotel Soaltee and then drove to the Everest Casino where he fired several rounds in the air. A year later, he drove to the police headquarters and beat up a sentry on duty. Again in 1999 he struck a police officer with the butt of his gun and drove away after threatening him with a machine gun. A month later he went to the Durbar Marg police station and thrashed the policeman standing guard, On election day in May last year he went around driving his car threatening all police officers he came across.

These are but some examples of the exploits of Paras Shah. The crimes committed by him are so grave that had he been a commoner, he would have been jailed for attempted murder four years ago. But because he is a member of the royal family, Paras Shah is not in jail but in the palace and still goes around driving his Pajero over people. Even five days after the accident the government has not yet taken any action against someone who should have been stripped of his royal privileges and jailed five years ago.

The government may have been reluctant to act against Paras Shah, but this time the people\'s representatives have been demanding that strong action be taken. For the first time since the establishment of constitutional monarchy, this week a rally was organised to protest the actions of a member of the royal family. And lawmakers have been saying no one is above law.

After protests against Paras both on the streets and in Parliament everyone is now waiting for the King to act.

Everyone is hoping that His Majesty will strip the title of "Prince" from Paras, in accordance with the expectations of the people. Punishing someone who has wronged, will not only be respecting the people\'s expectations, but it will also help restore the prestige of the institution of monarchy.

Bimarsha, 11 August
The murder of well-known singer and musician Praveen Gurung could prove to be costly for the Royal Palace. What has been described as a murder committed by Paras Shah, son of Prince Gyanendra, has agitated the entire country. No MP speaking in Parliament disagreed that the musician was killed by the vehicle driven by Prince Paras. At! had one voice; this incident should be investigated seriously.

Jan Astha, 9 August
For the first time in Nepal\'s history the residence of a member of the Royal Family is to be surrounded today by the student wing of the CPN-ML, which has invited everyone to participate, Traffic will also be blocked as part of the protest. The house in .Question, Nirmal Niwas, is owned by Prince Gyanendra. And Paras Shah is his wayward son.

Even though the atrocities of Paras Shah had crossed the limit a long time ago, this is the first time that anyone has gathered the courage to oppose his misdeeds by taking to the streets. The protest being organised today should be a reminder that those who think they are all powerful and can get away with anything- whether they are from the Royal Palace or from Singha
Durbar-will be challenged and opposed.

According to legal experts, in accidents such as these if it is proved that someone was killed because of the carelessness of the driver, the driver can be sentenced for up to 33 years in jail. That people have to abide by law and certain others don\'t have to face the consequences is unacceptable in a country that goes by the rule of law. Will the institution that commands great prestige and is also seen as the guardian of the law take action and let it be known to people that the rule of law will prevail or will this incident be allowed to further tarnish the image of the palace? Because Paras\' excesses have crossed the limit, and in order to pacify the people who are ready to come out on the streets in protest, it would be wise for the Royal Palace to take action against him. The Royal Palace should be aware of the high moral standard shown by the prime ministers of New Zealand and Britain. The two prime ministers had said that the laws of the nation would apply to them also and sent payments for their parking tickets.

Paras\' family was not unaware about his tendency to create problems for both ordinary Nepalis and for the police on duty to maintain law and order. But Nepalis have not been assured that anything was being done to stop that. If he had been controlled, the nation would not have had to lose a capable musician and the Royal Palace would not have had to go through this disgrace. Paras\' misadventures. should have become unpardonable not only to the Nepali public but also to the Palace. But it does not seem so yet.

On the Sunday on which the accident took place. Paras had gone to the X-Zone Disco and drunk hard. While the disco was still open, he had switched the lights on and off several times, following which others there said that they too were customers and asked him not to do what he was doing. At which he boasted that he was Paras and threatened them. The four or five young men then pushed him out. In this way, Paras, who was always used to beating others, was at the receiving end that day. Then in search of those youth he had circled the Royal Palace in his Pajero several times.

While he was looking for the people he hit the motorcycle of musician

Praveen Gurung.
Naya Sadak, 12 August
The controversy that had erupted after Prince Paras\' vehicle killed singer Praveen Gurung outside the palace gates on 6 August has ended in an agreement between the two sides.

Neither Praveen Gurung\'s wife, Shanti Gurung. nor any of their relatives wanted to make any comment. But police sources say that Prince Paras will provide compensation of Rs 1 million, will take responsibility of Praveen\'s two sons and will find employment for Shanti.

What does the comparing do? The comparing will not convince people to voice for Paras...Regardless of what Political Leaders do they will always have more people backing them up.

But if Birendra was still around, or even Dipendra, more people would have voiced for the King. People do not want to Pick Paras over Prachanda...thats how pathetic the situation is.
