Sursum bro, k chha? Always a pleasure to see you, my good man. And No, didn’t check the TGIF as yet as I didn't have time to log into sajha until today. Must've been a real busy Friday for everyone it seems…Just got back here from a funeral in Boston (attached is the driving lesson turned fatal details: http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/14215592/detail.html) and this was the worst vaca ever because of what happened (had to cut short my trip to the West coast as I got a call from home saying Sunil was my cousin whom I'd never met)...I hope a tragedy of such proportions never checks into anyone else's fate.

Finally, on a birghter note, am here to brighten sajha with my presence  ;-)

Hi Samsara,

Good to see you back. Seems like tragedy has struck twice in ur circle. I had read about this unfortunate accident in Boston. It is really very sad . My deepest condolences.

Sursum i didn't realise u were in Delhi bhanera - my apologies - sometimes i can be so ignorant. Did you join the rally on 2nd Oct?

And Christmas re.... isn't that too early? Let's see if we can work something out. I'll ask the girls, you ask the boys.

well thanks a lot Phoenix for the great gathering. I guess we should have stuck around longer to meet more girls but we had promised our two non LC friends to take them around NYC so we left. It was great meeting Lhamu Pemba my senior and all the juniors too. you know how about hosting another reunion in Boston?? Now if it is going to be this year we have to do something indoors I guess. remembering your school is a way of honoring the place where we got our education and I think it is a positive thing to do, i look forward to more reunions really.

Hi dimple...i am so glad you all could make it and the little time we spent was fun .

I am sure the girls would love a get together in Boston. Maybe not during the winters...people would dread traveling but come spring they'll be out to party .

We can however have the e-mail rolling..and Samsara out here is hinting at a X-Mas get together of all the darj schools.... wow are we on a roll or what!!!

Who cares what this moron samsara plans here?
I myself  went to Himali boarding school in kharsang for 4 years back in the days (and this thread's been going on since may 2007) you didn't know that, until now did you? Bottom line, theres probably a whole lot of people  surfing in sajha  whose gone to those schools  and whom you'll rarely reach.

Who da hell invited this dumazz eyefusion to this thread?  Hey, who cares if you went to any school out there but yet refrain from participating in this thread.  This is for peeps who are reliving their nostalgic moments in their respective Darj dsitrict schools.  Hell, why would we wanna reach out to peeps when we already know a huge darj circle here, fool??  Where do these nincompoops who don't know nothing about NY come from to participate in this thread acting like some damn genius (genie ass if you may!)...hhahahhaah

And Phoenix, I'll try and find out when the Kanchenjunga nite would be...We could have ours after that so that the max number of Darj peeps could show up.  Will let you know once I find out the date for the Knchjnga nite.  Ciao.

Thanx NP...Much appreciated.  The families of both went to the Dalai Lama's sermon yesterday here and were extremely fortunate to get a private audience with him (thanks in part to this case becoming "sensational, ground-breaking news" in the Tib and Nep Diaspora here).  More notable, in an extreme gesture of faith, the families also ended up donating all of the couple's savings (more than $70K) to his Holiness' charity. May their souls RIP.

Truly sad, indeed. May the Dalai Lama bless the couple in heaven.

eyefusion...dunno whom you were referring to when u said "(and this thread's been going on since may 2007) you didn't know that, until now did you? " but as far as i know some of us have been on this thread since it's creation. Not that i needed to point that out to you but i hope you get the catch.

We are here, this thread is here and if people want to then they can find us here..i don't think we are trying to reach out to anyone. We all share a common ground and that is what we are here to to talk about.

P.S Samsara - the Kanchenjunga nite is usually held in Jan haina? brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

You're right Phoenix, Kchjnga nite is around Jan...The reason why I suggested we should do ours after that is because we could let all who attend know that the reunion would take place (and we could sell tkts then.  If not, ask the Kchjnga nite orgnzrs to take down the email of all who attend and we could use that list.to invite them).  BTW, do you want it to be a party where we have only the Darj students attend or for all...For me, I'd love to see the same peeps (all of them) who attend the Kchjnga nite attend the reunion and also have the rest of the Ktm gang who went to the hill schools attend too...We still have time to plan this out.  I'll email you this wkend or mid- next week with the tentative details.

Heaveninhell, no disrespect, but i never heard of that school.  Anyway, we're here to make this a platform for all the ex-students of Dazzling district and Darjeelingeys to meet up and your likes are very welcome.  Did you guys take part in the Inter school Athletics, etc.  Or more importantly were you guys ICSE or CBSE?  If CBSE, then you missed out on a lotta Interschool events.

Just fyi - Loreto College is being handed over to the WB govt at the end of this month.

The Loreto insitution will no longer have a say in the college's administration .Also the name of the college is to be changed...most likely it will be called Southfield but the decision has not yet been made.

It's just one of those nostalgic moments of my life.

Phoenix, really?  Damn, can they do that to a school which has already built a legacy on that "name"?  I think that the Ex-LCites should object to such a move as Loreto is synonymous with girls of a genteel, well-cultured and well educated mannerisms.  C'mon, this move should be protested.  Are you gonna say you're from Southfield, now?

BTW, good to have someone revive this thread from its vacation into Limbo.
