Hey Sursum Corda,
You've been MIA for quite a while .
Yes Prashant is now a household name and for such a good reason. He is simply fabulous and has won our hearts. And i must confess every time i hear the song 'Ya Ali' i can only see Prashant singing ...

Hey Samsara
I don't think you can vote for him from here or even Nepal. I've asked my frens in UAE and India to vote on my behalf... ke garney USA harulai hela garyo yespali
There was a ruckus in the hills during one of the voting rounds and i am glad our hill boy has come this far.

Though I know not much about the topic, its good that our Dazzlingey is competing and representing all the North-Easterners on the highest level...It sad that the NEerners have been majorly overlooked in all aspects of day to day Indian life as not being Indian enough and now finally, the boy from the hills is showing that he (and all NEerners) are as good if not better than their dhoti wearing counterparts.

Since the NE has been brought up i thought this would be a something good to share among you all.

Also
there's another guy by the name of Karma Sherpa who has been doing wonders in a similar competition being held in kolkatta.

Both Prashant and Karma are doing an awesome job in a field where only a few lucky ones (hill-ians) have been able to create a mark for themselves.

Phoenix, the article infuriated the activist within me like crazzzyy!! wtf?? These friggin dhotis reek of curry themselves and their armpits give off gases that make Saddam's chemical weaponry seem obsolete AND YET THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO SAY THE NEsterners FOOD SMELL BAD!! What a joke, look who's calling the kettle black!

BTW, Congrats to our man Karma Sherpa for repping the Hills. And you mention the "Hillians" above. That band was big a long time ago, right? Probably even before my parents met!! hahahha

We planned on going to the Dazzling Reunion but missed it :(

I'm an OGB too.

OGB means "Old Graham Boy"

I went to DGH till the GNLF problem started and then moved to Mussoorie.

The audio and visual at ANA was awesome. We really enjoyed the DJ Night and the night after Cultural Show. You did a fine job Harkay bro.

Harkay, those jokes were hilarious especially after "that" stuff I had before I got to the room (!!). I had a match to play within the next 2 hours after the after-party ended. hahahaha BTW, Kancha bro should be next year's chief (or cheap) guest for all the joks he so articulately presented that night...Was a riot! hahahahhaha

Also, endless_knot, certain DGH gals in NYC refer to themselves as OGBs (I kid u not)...As per your definition, shouldn't they be OGGs??? Makes me wonder...

Samsara Bro,

I had to go back in time to remember what "OGB" stood for and after googling here is what it stands for:
OGB is "Old Girls and Boys" from Dr. Grahams Homes.

Thanks for pointing this out. So much for my loyalty to my alma mater... My bad...

Wonder any DGH girls/women visit sajha ??

I heard two guys from SAS scored 100 in Maths in ISC Science 2007.
Thats it... nothing much with DARJEELING, KALIMPONG, KURSEONG AND OTHER besides the HYPE surrounding Prashant Tamang...

Sahayog, 100% in ISC Math...Dude, thats like Calc 2/3 in most US colleges and the exams are a lot harder than here too. Those must've been some smartazzes there. I'd congratulate them on their achievement. BTW, wasn't there some sort of a medal back in the days that used to be awarded to the ISC and ICSE toppers and the individual subject toppers in Darjeeling District?? With a 100%, they could both share the honors.
