Rahulvai, what exactly is the parichaya style of savhya nepali? And, who/what is to determine savhya - asavhya? Not you, I think, but you are entitled to your idiotic opinions.

Rahulvai ji

I feel fortunate that you selected my thread, out of many that made mockery of the losing candidates,  to make such comment.

Call me असभ्य ! I have no problem.

But I am not yet ready to celebrate the win of Jhakku Prasad who beat heavy weight like Madhav Nepal.

I basically do not know Jhakku Prasad, apart from he is a maoist candidate. I will celebrate his win after seeing his performance in the C Assembly.

I honestly, did not mean to make fun of the losing candidates.

Lose of some of the candidates is unfortunate for they could have been asset for the making of new constitution. The knowledge, experience and their relationship with the foreign agents will be sorely missed.

While lose of others is good for the country. If that perceived celebration is Asavya –let it be.

Like I said before, the loss of some of the candidates is bad for the country.

The loss of many of the candidates,  who have had the trust and hope of the people to do good for the country but did not live up to the expectation (but considered only their well being), is to be celebrated.  Well talking about culture - we celebrate the loss of Ravan in a huge way.

Sir, Should I get depressed with the loss of Govinda Raj Joshi or Chirajibi Wagle or Khum Bahadur Khadka ???

PS; I am not biased with any party. My projections included people from all the parties.

I am myself a loser for I did not participate in the election actively so I can not celebrate any body’s win.

I did not have any favorite candidates.

जित्नेलाई बधाई दिनु

भोट हामीलाई नदिए “टाउको झोलामा - जिउ खोलामा “ भनेर प्रचार गर्नेलाई कसरि बधाई दिनु ? I am yet ready to believe that most of the पर्यबेक्षक said that the election was fair before the declaration of any results.

But in Kathmandu – most of the wins are because of the negative vote. People showed dissatisfaction over the political parties and known candidates for their non performance in the past and sending message to correct them selves.  A good wake up call !!

I feel the “maoist” जन लहर will not last long, if they dont deliver, as Nani Maiya Dahal did not last long - the एमाले did not last long in Kathmandu.

Lets not forget that Kathmandu is a great city, and its people are amazing they gave vote to Nani Maiya Dahal despite of having heavyweight candidates in her constituency. People rule in ballot box. As Shirish said, "Delivery will be the measure lasting success".

Possibility for winning next election can be written in the following differential form dPy = dDy / Dy + dDpp/Dy - dDnp/Dy -dDr/Dr - dDp/Df

where

Py = Probability

Dy = your total successful delivery of your past promises during election campaign (current rate is dDy) .

dDnp = Negative publicity rate of  Delivery ( by opponent, by press, and other media )

dDpp = rate of positive publicity of your delivery.

Dr = current level of Delivery of rival "new" candidate, and dDr is his current rate of delivery if any any.

Df = failed Delivery = 1- Dy

The lower case "d" in front of these variables indicate that it is rate (differential). Now, you can calculate the total Probability by integrating this differential from lower limit of 0 to the value until today.

I believe the probability of winning by NC and UML heavy weight is probably because of very high dDnp, and too low dDpp. Note that there is "D" in the denominator, that means if your total delivery is very high, then your rate of possibility of losing the election is also very high. It is because in exponential curve when you are about to reach to the saturation level, the rate slows down and you are asymptotic, such that people will consider you are no more potent to any new deliveries, but your new rival whose promises seem more deliverable, and might ..... Look at this formula, and try to understand why these heavy weights lost the election. You don't have to agree with my equation, and you may come up with much better formula. This is what I feel.

I think these days Rahulvai's head is not working properly.

Tell me uncivilized but I cherish the defeat of some of the political leaders whom I do not like. I think Um should not have that great problem. I was happy to see Sujata to lose but problem is I do not know how good is Upendra Yadav. I would be happy if he proves his worth of being Nepali other than being Madheshi because I do not know on whom he has his allegiance- Singhdarbar or South Block.

It's not any attempt to cast any aspersions on any leaders because so long as I understand Mahantha Thakur, Hriyadesh Tripathy, Bimalendra Nidhi are as good Nepali as I am and as good as say Subhash Nemwang, Ramchandra Paudel. But, I really do not know U. Yadav. So, Cant I put my celebration on hold for a time till he proves his worth and just cherish the moment of humiliating loss of Sujata.

Civilised people should not have any problem!!!!

I am not surprised with the Casualty of this election. I see them as sniped from their perch.                         Our hardwired opinionated and self-righteous intellectuality is the casualty.

What about the Collatarel Damage of this election?

Did Nepali folks vote for the ideology? Obviously not.

Did anyone read the Manifesto of the political parties and voted his/her conscience ? I highly doubt that.

So, the election result (I respect  PEOPLES' mandate despite my personal reservation ) has our mindset as the colossal Collateral Damage. I am confused if the result condones and expunges Maoists activities but for sure I understand that the leaders from the so-called democratic parties have been duly punished.

Bhakunde_bhut-jyu,

Thought-provoking questions.

I think you hit the bull’s eye.

> Our hardwired opinionated and self-righteous intellectuality is the casualty.

Those of us who were self-righteously calling Maoist “dogmatic” and alarming the people all the way have proved ourselves “reverse-dogmatic”.

Now that people have broken the barrier, you can not call Maoist “dogmatic” without making yourself “reverse-dogmatic”.

We all are now naked.

Nepe

Shirish,

One biggest casualty which will be apparent soon is Girija Prasad Koirala himself.

No matter what talmel and sahamati developes, GP Koirala is not going to be the ruling head anymore. He will be reduced to some ceremonial title or nothing at all.

Koirala era is over, at least for one term.

Any pratikriya, Shirish ?

Rajendra Mahato  Maiya Devi Shrestha

Ram Baran Yadav, Chakra Bastola,  Ashok Rai, Madhav Kumar Nepal (again)

Shirish

Nepe (not from the list, jhukkiyela feri)ji,

One of the biggest casualty of this election is Shirish. As for the time being, Shirish's anticipation of Sujata being the PM of Nepal will not take place. But I am a strong believer of "tough time do not last". She will work very hard to reorganize and consolidate the position of the party for coming election. She should maintain good relationship with persona like Gagan Thapa, whose support made Suprabha Ghimire a winner from Kathmandu.

I think, the "janalahar" and landslide win of the Maoist will work against Prachanda's dream of being a President of Nepal. The democratic world will have tough time to let and accept a communist as a President of a democratic country.Even though India  accepted him, I have a doubt that Prachanda will be the head of the state. To avoid the international sanctions,  the Maoist will have to have some one (for the face value) to validate their legitimacy and of the Government and continue reciving support. I think Girija Koirala can fulfill that role. This way, at least the NC will not be calling Bandh's and blocking the streets. Girija Koirala is obviously a lame duck at this moment and pretty harmless. (He will be pushing for Sashank Koirala though).  As NC is at the bay, GP has very few choices. What ever his role may, he might as well settle for the first President of Nepal and be written in the history books in स्वर्ण अक्षर ! So Koirala era is not over yet रे क्या !

Maoist's will need the support to implement their agenda so they will have to work with NC or other smaller parties to have 2/3 approval. So it will be a strategic move for them to have Koirala as a pseudo mentor.

Guru how did I do?
