Dear Admin,

I fully respect your decision to scrap my previous thread because I understand your problems as an adminstrator. You have to make sure that sajha.com is not banned in Nepal and you didn't have any alternative than to delete my posting which was truly against the interest of the new government of Nepal. I posted that particular thread with the presumption that it will be deleted any time. But it was such a truth that I wanted as many sajhaites as possible to read the news before it got deleted. While there is a severe restrictions on media in Nepal, Sajha cannot go beyond the interest of the new goevernment if it has to remain not banned in Nepal. As a responsible sajhaite, I have the responsibility to save sajha from being banned. Therefore, I like to apologise for the discomforts my previous thread gave to you. I would have done the same as you did if I was the administrator.
You have said- 'I personally have to be careful because users like yourself can post anything they want under assumed nicknames.'

But I like to assure you, I don't post any rumours. What I decide to post as an informative story is verified by reliable sources. And you know it for yourself that there is every responsibility of a news gatherer to protect the identification of news sources if the sources feel that they should be unidentified.

More over, I hope you will continue to act as a responsible administrator by not supplying my personal and server informations to anybody. All of us are trying to dessiminate something to the Nepalese people amidst severe restrictions on communication and media. We have to be careful at this torrid time but at the same time we cannot blindfold ourselves. I acknowledge my limitations, hope you will acknowledge the importance of freedom. However, we shouldn't be very scared about the situation in Nepal and forget our responsibility to the nation.

Cheers.

you all whoever complains about posts being deleted, MUST be using ONLY THIS website to post stuff and what not you like. Go out there, there are more forums, that delete the shit you post much more than San himself. You all gotta give credit to him, you all bitchin about your posts getting deleted, while he's grinning his teeth and trying to put all this together to make it fair and good for all ages to read and comment. Its not an easy job, some jackass puts porn pics some one else puts random comments. This is not the only website that delete POSTS. Take it easy a little...and stop whining!

If you don't believe me, go out find more forums, and post, see if they get deleted or not!!!!! If it doesn't, tell me, ill make sure it does! :P

GP-ji,

The idea of "property" is a very powerful one.
It need NOT be a negative one, in ways you seem to be assuming.

The country where you presently reside pioneered some pretty powerful property-rights related concepts (now extended even to cyberspace). Indeed, the graves and monuments of some of those early property-rights pioneers are not very far from
where you currently live.

These concepts quietly and effectively govern your right to live in an apartment or a house of your choosing. They also tell you how and when you should pay your rent or your mortgage. They tell you what happens if the landlord or other parties do something illegal to you and so on and on.

You take these rights for granted, and you enjoy them without even thinking much about them.

But on Sajha, the mere phrase gives you hiccups.

Yes, Sajha -- one one level -- belongs to all of us.
That's the SPIRIT. And I am all for it, and I , like you, have done some bits to promote that spirit.

But, Sajha -- on another level -- legally belongs to one individual, San.
That's the REALITY.

And the probability remains that that individual may, in these uncertain times in Nepal, get into into trouble if powers-that-be are dissatisfied with any or some of the things on Sajha.

After all, most posters need NOT own up to anything they post here. Relatve anonymity protects them.

But who protects San?
No one.
He's the one with whom the buck stops here.

That is why, he is justfied in looking out for his own and Sajha's greater long-term interests, EVEN if that means he has to -- using his own judgment -- delete some threads from tiem to time.

Sure, one can contest his decisions (he is, after all, a human too), but to expect him to allow a political democracy to flourish on Sajha would be taking Sajha too seriously to the point of sheer absurdity.

And San derives his authority NOT from some dictatorial lordiness, but from the simple fact that he actually owns this site, pays its bills and so on.

Let us not forget that, at the end of the day, Sajha is NOT run by a committee or even by some community, but by an individual who owns it but has continued to show good sense to invite others to come have fun here too.

Tetti ho kura.

Bhok Lagyo; pyas lagyo.

At least on this issue I agree with Asshu. I wus one of those people who refuse to let only the registered users post messages here. If it is really for ALL Nepali then we should not have to register wus my point. BUT THEN THERE WOULD BE TOTAL ANARCHY. All countries and communes and rules and laws they govern by. When you obtain a visa to enter a country its like saying YESH I WILL OBEY YOUR LAWS. But most countries have elected officials through a democratic process, and taxes through which they enforce those laws. Since you and I are not paying San a dime ...punks like newuser have no right to protest how San runs his bidness(Esp. when its pertaining to favor any kind of political, social, or economical).

Its like calling MOMO's PEKING RAVIOLI just because you don't agree with any current Nepali govt. C'mon now get real

well thanks for the post Mr. Darj... but before posting it I hope you read the story in deep.. and epecially the poem that pervert Bas***rd mf Masikhwa wrote....

how can a person in sense write such a dirty poem about own mother land or mother.... well his point makes sense but that is not the way to express it......

At one point he claims he is S/w engg... s/W Engg my foot he can not be compared even with a smelly pig.. to tell him pig would be to scold pig....

But thank fully due to our leaders achievement in last 14 years I know what I can scold him....

he is as smelly as girija.... he is as pevert as makune.... he is biggest b*****d as khumbahadur...

Bravo Sajha admin... I am glad that you banned Mashikhwa.... he should be taken to dubai and killed by pelting stone at him... ( this is legal htere)...

Yeah I read few of the arguments presented by "mashikhwa". I have also read his 'poem' which eventhough uses some profane words is very artistic and tastefully presented. Kudos to him.

BUT, that does not mean he can write or keep ID whatever he wants. I understand his ire on being banned, but i reckon on the same forum, he had been requested to change his nick. For god's sake, Masikhwa means "Puti mukhe" aka pussy faced. Can you not see a problem with this nick? Yes it is your personal business and you are free to choose whatever name you want to call yourself by all means, in your "PRIVATE web site".

Can you go to your work without any pants ? or topless? I was about to ignore you posting but, i just thought it is a gross injustice to Mr. San. For eg. if someone lets others to play on his playground, but makes a groud rule that one can not pee, play naked, can not use sharp objects and blah blah on his playgroud, the choice is yours, whether you agree to his rule and play there OR simply refuse and go somewhere else. Hoina yaar yeuta simply kura ho ni, aba 'alik' decent nai ta bhannu mildaina ni timro nick lai.

Ho kunai kura chitta bujdaina hola... tara bhandai ma hawa dari public trial
& all that shit. He can SUE you for defaming him and make no mistake, any sane mind would see that from a decent and logical protest you went on to defame, and drag someone personally.

Be responsible for your action. As far as i rem. He did not even delete you piece, but requested you to change your nick. Thats it. and you go " I DEMAND an apology" blah blah blah. Wake up.

Actually, I am just pissed at your stupidity and arrogance and most importantly EGO to press your whim. Please be reasonable. I personally do not 'know' san. And neither am I a sajha honcho & elite per se, but as a responsible sajha basi, I for one sure do not approve of your idea of protesting.

I enjoyed your posting my friend and so did many sajhabasi. I hope you would take some reasonably controversial nick and come join us in sajha. I along with many others would love to read your writings. Lets use some common sense now, shall we?

It is indeed flattering to see my name posted all over another forum adorned with colorful adjectives. On the same note I received a rather long email from a banned user whose introduction I'm pasting below:

(Before you read: Mr. Admin, I have decided to post this on Darjleing forum,
I would like you to read it first before anyone does, and tell me what do
you think. Do you still justify your acts? It is indeed a long message to
read, but do read. I am very sadly disappointed with you amateur acts and I
cannot resist it anymore. San one more thing, do remember as you said you
have everything to loose and I have nothing to loose, created because of
your own childish acts)

I am infact happy that few people that sajha had to ban have found an outlet to post their grievances. I am not going to go on a crusade to defend myself because I don't think I have done anything wrong that I need to defend myself. In any case, here's is my reply to the person whose introduction i pasted above. This will serve to be my answer for all users with discontentment.

NAME WITHHELD,
You are free to post it in darj forum like few others who wanted their voice heard.
I have no problems with that. In fact I'm flattered that you think I'm worthy of
so much thought and time you must have put into your piece. But I will warn you
brother that it will only prove to show how immature you are. If you want to post
your message, I ask you to post this message to you as well, since I am not gonna
be going to sites and trying to defend myself.

Simple reason you are banned is because you have a habit of bringing up sajha policies
and posting it in kurakani - when as you will note in the Acceptable Use Policy
it asks you not to do that. I am not running sajha site so that I can have small
bickering with individuals in the site. Out of 10,000 users 10 people are unhappy
but those 10 people can argue all day in the site requiring me to keep posting replies
every hour or so! And I simply don't want to do that, because I have better things
to do than keep on answering to those 10 people. THAT IS WHY, I ASK PEOPLE TO EMAIL ME DIRECTLY IF THEY HAVE ANY ISSUES (in ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY in ABOUT US page) and we could solve it personally instead of them trying to put me on public trial
in MY site! I just don't have time for that. I try my best to not let anyone use
the sajha forum to indulge in personal mud slinging and I definitely don't want
to indulge in it myself by going back and forth with people with dissent. I have
a bigger picture in mind for sajha and am happy to see that it has been fairly successful
in bringing together a large bulk of nepali web surfers to interact with each other.

I never want to ban anyone's IP address, but I am not going to let someone actively
pursue in a propaganda of hate against sajha policies in sajha itself. If you don't
like the way things are you are not forced to visit sajha. It says clearly on the
Disclaimer that if you don't like the way this site is run, your best remedy is
to discontinue the use of this site. You are free like those guys who have posted
things about me and called me names in the Darj forum.

Anyone with a fair mind will know that I have done the right thing. I own sajha
and I have every right to ban someone who does not follow the few basic rules that
I have set. I think it is very stupid to make a big deal out of it. If you're at
someone else's house, you have to follow the house rules otherwise the host will
ask you to stay out. As simple as that. It is nothing to write Mahabharat about
like you're done and few disgruntled people have done in Darjeeling chat.

For those people I really have nothing to say because inspite of preaching democracy,
they fail to recognize a basis essence of democracy such as ownership and the rights
of ownership. I own sajha and I have very few rules in place so that sajha runs
smoothly. Sajha is open for everyone as long as they treat sajha as their own house,
as soon as someone starts defacing the house and pasting negative messages of hate
and intolerance all over the house, sajha is not open to them anymore. And that's
a very basic rule of the house. And all the hue and cry is for nothing besides their
inability to respect someone's ownership rights. That's all there is to it.

(Name withheld), I know it does hurt the ego when you get banned, but you have to know that it's not personal. Sajha is where it is today because along the way, once in a while, I have had to make decisions which are not tasteful to a few users who cannot follow the house rules.

Best wishes to you and your endeavours.
San

Reagrdless of who posted someones personal info on gforum, it seems like it was done by one of the people on sajha.com, in my opinion as a professonal the admin of sajha should make an announcement saying it was not him nor his associates in gforum or atleast here on sajha if indeed it was not one of you guys.

And interesting thing is what's so fuss about a word Masikwha, Nepali Friends. If you guys go and look chinese dictionary Ma=Ma=Horse.
Si=Xi=Joke
Kwha=Gua=Melon
For Chinese Learning Friends. Enjoy
