Trying to get some idea about job prospect in Nepal. I am thinking about going back to Nepal as my family is back there.
I was wondering if there's any opportunity for someone with computer engineering degree from the US with work experience in IT field.
I haven't been to Nepal for several years now, and I don't know anyone who is into Tech/IT field in Kathmandu, Nepal. If you've returned to Nepal and/or working in the IT field, you may be able to answer this question.

@bairaghi, thats actually a goood idea. i have a marwari friend in pokhara who has like 8 thela gada (apart from a restaurent which he started 8 yrs back).and he has staffs who stand on the thela and sell street foods like momos, samosa, chowmin, sausage, jeri swari and pani puri. for this he has extra 3-4 guys working daily in his restaurent preparing all the stuffs and bringing it to the thela carts.and he is erning better than all other schoolmates of us who 'made carriere' working for it companies, govt officers and lahures.

I hate when people say " I want to go back, I have a family there" then have an audacity to ask what kind of opportunity/ job prospective.. I say bull shit.. If you want to go Because you have your family or relatives there then why don't you just GO and find out once you get there.

Its all abt $$. If u r from ktm valley with a big house and ur income is only for living costs, u can manage with a normal job with MS degrees. If u r starting from scratch, then its a different story. u will need atleast $150-200k , whether u want to start a business or start a normal 9-5 job.
