I recently saw that people around the world are to protest against King G' move...whatever be their motive behind such protests, I don't want to make any comment..

But I just don't understand where were these people when maoists were killing innocent people brutally..why these people never dare to raise their voices against maoist attrocities?? why these people did not try to internationalise the maoist problem by staging protest in its nascent phase??

In my opinion, these people are simply opportunistic who just want to exploit the crisis for nothing..why no one dare to SPEAK againt maoist and stage rally around the world????
will there be a rally that will entirely protest maoist in nepal (without uteering a single word against king)???

he protest rally should be against the human right activists.........what could they do when when the maoists were kidnapping and killing so many ppl?.....what were these ppl doing when there were so many nepal bandhs? when all the ppl in nepal pray that they get back home safely before they leave their houses......what about that? the right to walk freely....the right to go to work or school without having the fear of being kidnapped.........i right to say " i'm not giving my hard earned money for ur stupid cause"..... the rights for peace.....i think these are the rights all nepalis want right now more than any other rights.

The US govt. policy has always been to stand on the sidelines and watch the Tamasaa. And now they are saying to restore democracy without even knowing about the Nepali people's sentiment. Do they even give a sh*t about what we think ? Or are they just interested in their make believe freedom and democracy propoganda ?
Since the so called democrasy has come about ...just look at what has happened to Nepal ? It's self evident. I WOULD DEFINATELY QUESTION THE TRUE MOTIVES OF THESE FOLKS WHO ARE PROTESTING IN DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ? WHAT ARE THEY GETTING OUT OF IT IS THE MAIN QUESTION.

Nitu, that was very touching. My deepest sympathy. It should make some of the protesters who are there merely for the 2 minute of limelight just so that they can show it to their concerned parties back home, just so to be in the loop, back in Nepal. Will that be expecting too much? Well for the genuine protesters, indeed go ahead, but also think about other genuine alternative, that have any chance of bringing peace.

On the lighter side, perhaps we shall protest for everything. Let's make a list to protest against in DC :).

1) India; for being a friendly neighbor she is," peacefully" gobbling our border land.

2) Army and Police; for going out of the line.

3) King; for selling our own heritage ( murti, artifacts), not paying tax, and shamelesly providing , medals like ?gorkha dhakshin bahu pratham? and ?nepal ratna? etc for his family and chamches for doing .. well nothing, and practically taking nation's wealth as his own and behaving like a RICH dog (KING) of POOR Owner ( Janta)

4) A scion of the same King, a murder himself, "his royal useless ass Paras."

5) Nepali leaders and politicians : useless, inept, selfish, blood sucking insects, which if given a chance will suck our bone marrow and would not even spit our bone till they are vertain. Drained nations wealth. Many works for india, PRACTICALLY, did not have enough to eat now owns 5 houses, bank accounts in indian and aboard. Drives Pajero's and other luxerious vehicles. Has their relatives of chamcha all and every position. They are jackle, a begger, a hyenas themselves. And when it comes to sacrificing, they are only good for "bhasaans" and takes away "rashaan" of poor. In short, people would care less if many of them are shot dead.

6) Maoist brutally killing and committing henious crimes.
Now we are talking. Add all of the above and multippply by hundred. Yes, they are that bad. Their initial motive was not bad, but path they choose made them inhuman, crook, murderer, chor, daka, thug. They not only suck the blood, but ACTUALLY would not hesitate to suck your bone marrow and would not even twitch a lil bit. They are the worst of the kind in humans. (With due apology to humans )

They should be tortured with the worst kind, thousands and thousands of people would actually enjoy it as a prime time "desperate housewife". They shall not be killed but rather kept with tortured of WORST kind and any mercy whatsoever for another 10 years is out question (exactly the no. of ears they terrorized). And if they happen to survive miraculously, then we can think about it. (If they choose ?peace? even now, they shall be forgiven (if that?s the price for peace, so be it)

Not enough for to protest against them, eh? Thought so. :)

Now let?s make a list, and plan to protest every other weekend. That way we can show to everyone back home that we are with them. Be it royals, politicians, Maoist and so on. Since it is not possible to burn ?tyres?, throw stones, break chairs, desks, destroy anything on the road for fun here, and for now back home as well, let us suggest ?our? concerned politicians and their siblings to do that in India :). After all what is protest all that.

And of course, if anyone opposes our views, let us term them as stupid, 'desh drohi' and one doesn?t know anything and cronies of the other party. I know you guys are doing a great thing. After all we are Nepali. Let us show it, by ALWAYS our personal interest first and Nation?(What is that?) ;)

ohh yes, if possible try to make comment on "why political leaders of nepali parties trashed late KING BIRENDRA's proposal of declaring NEPAL as a peace zone ..Was that an indication that the leaders did not want peace in the country???? or our leaders were so polarized toward India that they considered themselves working for India's favor???
whaever be the reason, scraping of such world-acclaimed proposal of declaring NEPAL as a peace zone showed that our leaders did not have any vision for the country...If they had waited ,and pursued India to agree on it, it would have definitely brought glory to the country..WHo knows, NEPAL might have got NOBEL PEACE PRIZE or so....
also, the ARMY spending would have been far less,( just like in SWITZERLAND) , and the budget could have been used for infrastructure development....
..and to be honest, the present crisis as they say , KING's seizure of the country on ARMY's strength could have been avoided.....

February 18, a protest is going to happen in DC for the restoration of Democracy. DC being the heart of America will certainly gain all its attention too. Surely this protest is going to be headlines in the foreign media too and we could hardly ever counter back it. February 18, they are celebrating as 55th Democracy Day in Nepal. And a mass of Nepalese population is going to protest for restoration of democracy in the nation. We have already been so frustrated with the deeds of our politicians within this period of 14 years of democracy. Well guys! People in DC are going to be busy on that day. What about us??? Any of us has any specific plans????

Umm? how I am going to celebrate it??? Let me think?. Yes, I am going to light 11 candles in the name of 11,000 souls and there will be a 12th candle in front of KG?s picture. 12th candle will represent my hope to restore peace in the nation. I will post the picture of it in the thread too. So, what you thinking now???? Do you have any other ways to celebrate Feb 18???

Please suggest me so that we could find one particular way to celebrate Feb 18 when some of the Nepalese will be busy chanting the slogan. Please take a picture of whatever ways we will celebrate Feb 18. We can send those pictures to Nepali Media or at least can compare the picture of those who will be shouting in DC and who will be mourning at home and pray to god for peace.
This is just a thought? need your suggestion and want to find out a particular way to celebrate Feb 18 to show the people who will be chanting the slogan.
