If you have you can clearly see that he is now the worst of the lot.
He is ok but he does not deserve to be where he is at. Some very good singers have been eliminated but he lives.Now, some of you might say that he has luck on his side, that is what I am saying too.He has luck on his side. He doesn't have any talent whatsoever and it is his luck that he is still in thegame. And for some of you who consider him Nepali, He is as much Nepali as any english speaking person considershimself to be American or British.

I dont understand why a fellow Nepali always Under-estimates another one!! Cant a Nepali be the best at what he does??!!! I know Prashant is not a Nepali but If I dont count on his ability to Speak my mother tongue Nepali too, that guy deserves to b where he is right now in Indian Idol!!

I`ve always felt most of our judgements are so-so-so racial!! Well May be he isnt of the same Class and charm as Amit Paul does but regarding everyother contestants he is in the same class!! So it wont surprise me whether he gets out in the next round or stays till the Last 2!! Him becoming the Indian Idol wud surprise me a great deal tho coz at this moment of time Amit Paul is far more superior than him with his singing ability!!!

What's wrong with Prasant being Indian? At least he speaks Nepali and claims he's Nepali by ethnicity infront of the whole world. So what's wrong there? Can you explain? Nepal does not hold proprietorship on "Nepalipan" just like India does not hold complete right over "Indianness" neither does mainland China hold rights over Chinese culture and values accross the globe.

Does not matter what passport one carries Singaporean, Malayasian, Indonesian, Taiwanese, Indian one of the essential identity and perhaps the most important one carries is his/her ethnicity

Nepali Culture is rich and always evolving because of presence of Nepali diaspora accross the globe. Nepali culture and values are thriving in Darjeeling, in Shillong,in Myanmar, Thailand, even in Bangladesh ( nepalitimes.com 27 July 07 issue), in the UK, in Australia and even in the cultural meltingpot of US.

The political boundaries of Mechi to Mahakali does not hold good when it comes to Nepalipan, Language, Dashair, Tihaar and many other values Nepalese accross the world share and enjoy. We will need to ingrain that..

You may want to know that every time a dead body of a Nepali is cremated in Darjeeling and Sikkim his/her head is always positioned towards Nepal as symbolic gesture of his/her respect to the land of Nepal.

I don't watch American Idol even when my whole office is talking about it. It doesn't interest me at all. Initially when I heard about Indian Idol, I thought it was so lame, but once I hear a Nepali contestent was on the rise, I started paying attention. At first I thought, you know what, he's Indian after all, why should I care? But then I though how many time do we, as Nepali get to rejoice a moment like this? If not the perfect, Prasant can become a role model for the new Nepali kids, a police officer who's handsome and can sing. It's not bad for a role model, for modern age. We lack a role model, period. Old corrupt politicians? Muderers? Dictators? Can you name me one that inspired us as a nation to be confident and move forward?
We're a nation who's no role model. If not perfect, Prasant should be considered and encouraged.

Make sure Why People are supporting Prashant:

He is much much talented than other contestant in a crude form.
He has a versatility, simpleness and is very optimistic. Above that, we all support prashant because if he wins he will have a chance to be a celebrity and ofcourse his talent will get opportunity to tarnish. Otherwise, he will be back to police force and will be in the same position where he was. A talent will die like a rose in absence of water and manure.

I like this boy, but he's gotta be more sensible in choosing the right kind of songs his voice can do right justice on.

romantic round or sth hoina last time? and he came up with this pretty mediocre number...."kasto maja ho railaima" (?)...i mean c'mon there are plenty of classics when it comes to romantic/love songs in bollywood that he could have sung. look at Amit! he chose one of the all time favorites of many and sang with the right kind of feel and attitude.

also, be more confident boy! don't forget that you DO HAVE what it takes to become the next indian idol. do some soul searching in selecting good songs and sing with CONFIDENCE. Barring Amit and Emon, who may give you a tougher run for your money, i don't think any other contestants can potentially be a threat to your pursuit to the title, if you perform fully to your own potential. make it to the top three. after that, it's anyone's game.

yabayabayaba. Do you guys know what you are talking about? Some of these same people are talking shit about Indians . crying that India does this and that , Indians are this and that. So this guy comes along and speaks Nepali and he is not an Indian anymore. I personally have no problems with Indians. In fact, India is a much better and well known country than Nepal is. All I am saying is, I don't care who you support but do not say that he is a fellow Nepali coz he is not. Yes, you need to be a citizen to be called a national of that country. You do not say that Gazzab Bahadur is Nepali, for some of you who don't know who he is, he is the white guy who sings Nepali songs. How come you people say that an American singing Nepali song? Think about what you say, you hypocrites.
