For the past couple of days, the reaction of people in Nepal and here in Sajha following the incident of 12 Nepalese murdered in Iraq, have made me ask this one question, ýWhat is the difference between a nepali murdered outside of Nepal by an outsider, and the one murdered in our own Nepal by our own people (Maoists/Army)?ý If the answer is ýThe Outside and the Outsiderý then how much of a pride do we carry of being who we are in order to see this difference, as it is the pride that led to the answer?
More than 10,000 people have died in so called ýPeopleýs war.ý How often have we seen a reaction of this magnitude (the reaction to the death of 12 nepalese in Iraq) in Nepalese here in Sajha and in Nepal? Maoists have killed many mercilessly, more mercilessly than the one killed by the Islamic Militant, but why have we failed to react to those? When an ex-army turned civil worker was chopped off in pieces, where were those people who are right now out on the streets destroying countryýs property? When a grand-father was beaten to death in front of his grand-son, when an IGP and his wife were shot in day light, when a teacher in far way village was beheaded in this farm, and list goes on, where were we? Are these deaths not serious, not gruesome, and merciless to make us react? Or is it that as long as one nepali kills another nepali, it is fine, but if an outsider kills a nepali then our pride is hurt, injustice has been done?
Why is it that government is willing to compensate the families of the 12 who died in Iraq and not those ones who died in ýPeopleýs war?ý Is it because they feel responsible for their deaths? Donýt they feel responsible for the killings of thousands under the hands of Maoists? After all because of the corrupt politicians and the king and idiots like BRB and Prachanda, we are having this Maoists War. Similarly, why we here in Sajha extend our help to the families of those 12 nepalese only, and not to the poor victims of ýPeopleýs war?ý Why are we so sad, so touched by the death of the Nepalese in Iraq and not so much by the death of the poor innocent ones in villages due to maoists?

Is it because we are cowards, scared of Maoists, that if we react they might come and kill us next? Is it because the deaths of these 12 men got international attention, so this must be very important? Is it because the deaths occurred in Nepal are meaningless? Or is it simply we are confused?

There you go, Maha-Sakti. To answer all your questions needs Maha-Sakti. And we hope such Maha-Sakti is forming in Nepal here onwards.

To me, the killings of our sisters/brothers within our country and by our own brothers/sisters should be viewed with more concern. Yes, the reactions by Nepalese were not there when Moaists killed, or Govt. Killed the militants.

But here onwards, the Iraq incident must have opened our eyes. I expect similar kind of reactions everytime there will be kilings when Maoists and Govt forces fight and kill each other. That will be the great NAY to Maoists... protest with immense force to thier killing spree activities. That could play key role in shunning these Maoists from killing thier own brothers for whom they say they are fighting for.

BRB, Prachanda.... remember RIMS is using you guys... you guys are only slaves to their game. You say you want to free Nepalese people.. but how can you when you guys are yourselves slaved by RIMS's game. F*** YOU anyways.

I absolutely agree with you Maha-Sakti: What is the difference between one Nepali's death versus another?! How much more peace can we get by tormenting and killing the poor Nepali Muslim community... all this in the name of religion? Which religion... Hinduism?

All we need is another scapegoat: we are tired of blaming the king, the royal family, the maoist because we cannot do much about them. So, we go and get other victims the Nepali Muslim community! Atleast, we can kill them in the name of nation, nationality and religion, Right?!

Wrong!!!! Killing one Nepali to "avenge" another is not the Nepali way, not the Hindu way, not the human way!!!!!!!

Well, when they kill innocents there is no difference....

In case of recent killing it's a mass murder of innocent and poor people who had nothing to do with the fighting...

Anyway, about Muslims. I do not know what to say.. Being polictically correct seems to be the easy way out but I think it's time to go read Kuran... I don't know what it says.. If it does not endorse violence, then I have nothing against the religion. But if it does, then I think it's time we take some actions and ban the fawking disgusting cult...

and sitara..read something about hinduism...read some chapters of Gita..u'll understand wat Hinduism stands for.

Why maoist are silent over the issue? It seems they are supporting the issue by being silent. How can they speak when they are alike those bastard Muslim millitant. ALL YOU MAOIST BELIEVER SHOULD KNOW YOU ARE SLAVE OF PRACHANDA AND USED BY HIM. You cannot do good so you choose to be bad. How would you feel if the victim is yours own loved one?
LET HELL BE WAITING THERE FOR ALL THOSE KILLERS OF INNOCENT AND HELPLESS PEOPLE.

Falluja incident (4 US marines killed by Mob) is an example what happens when your
peoples are killed for Nothing, then, how a civilized govt. reacted?

If a civilized (or so called civilized) govt. acts like that (killing 600 Iraqis instantly)
then, the difference shown in Nepal should be understandable. It is how the
world is moving today, it is how we are grown up in this TV culture.

It matters more who killed your people (or how they were killed) than how many were killed. Flood and road accident kill 1000s of Nepalis every year, are we well informed, did we ever spend real time to mourn them?

Natural reason vs domestic reason vs outsider. As human outsider does not have
right to touch in your internal matters, thats the issue since early stage of human
society.

Yesterday, I spend my time asking myself? If there was not Maoist stuffs in Nepal
how many of these 12kids would be interested in going to Iraq? Maoists are silence
so far, because they are probably writing their ritual press release blaming govt.?
In my own opinion, Maoists are the main culprits in this blame game, then, goes
to government and then to these Manpower Company. Not only that Bush is also
responsible for the killings? Did he spend a few second denouncing the killing ?
The killing of 12 people in one kidnapping is the largest in recent time in Iraq war.
When he needed the name in his alliance, he asked Deoba to travel to Washington,
but, when the 12 peoples were killed, he might not even noticed that number as
worth to note down. I did not see any denouncements or dissatisfactions expressed
by the leaders of so called civilized world? Where is the Alliance? Its sad, make me
so sad that being a citizen of poor country does not have value in this real world.

That is the reason, Bush's International Alliance does not have value because it
counts the countries like Nepal which are only good for making a reason for war,
but,................

We are heading on the right direction. Since Muslims started it, I think it is quite prudent ti give them a taste of their own medicine. Let it be heard loud and clear in Nepal that Muslims will not be tolerated in our Kingdom, where Hindus and Buddhists rule the roost.

When Muslims were busy tagging Hindus in Afghanistan ala Nazis tagging Jews, where was the outrage?
Tell me, has the MUSLIM WORLD denounced these murders? No, they have not. They have condemned terrorists taking French journalists hostages, but not even one Muslim has condemned what happened to our brothers in Nepal. So, this speaks volumes about the Muslim mentality. Furthermore, as many of you might know already, in Saudi Arabia, Hindus and Buddhists are treated as subhumans. Christians and Jews at least are placed higher up in the ladder as they are people of the book.

So, quid pro quo it is. It's time to return the favor with bonuses. LET US ALL RID NEPAL OF THIS PLAGUE CALLED ISLAM. KILL ALL MUSLIMS IN NEPAL!!

I am proud of what our youth have been doing in the capital. If the government doesn't feel like it wants to raise a finger, we should take law in our own hands.

Simple Guyji:
Simplistic indeed! How you interpret your brand of Hinduism, is your perogative, sire; allow me to interpret my brand of Hinduism devoid of violence!
Nepal does not need a religious war!

Peace unto you too my Nepali brother!

i heard sitara is aeithiest and who cares what she is..........this is a time to unite. if we kill them we might get revenge, but we will go to hell together with them. have fear of OUR REAL GOD.

Merciless Killing is not allowed in any religion and if the So called Muslims did that that means they Are RELIGIONLESS FAGGOTS. they do not know who god is, period.

Peepaltree, time for you to put that pipe down. Islam was founded by a sodomite named Mohammad, a nefarious pedophile and a military commander to boot. So essentially speaking, Islam is a belligerent religion that will not rest until all and sundry have been converted. It is a fascist religion. If anybody here thinks Islam means peace, then I beseech you to read the Quran. After reading the Quran, and once you change your opinion about Islam--anybody reading with an ambivalent, neutral mind will inevitably come to the conclusion that Islam is Arabic jingoism--please use it as your toiletpaper after taking a huge dump.
You fight fire with fire. That's the only way we need to tackle the problem posed by this fascist Arabic imperialism in the guise of religion.

Muslims have commited their gravest act yet on innocent Nepali works who didn't get their chance to proclaim their innocence. Iraqi muslims thought that they couldn't get any thing from those poor yet alive Nepalis. They thought that killing those innocent Nepalis will somehow further their religion. WRONG!!!

It only decreases the charm of Islam in the few Nepalis who had it in the first place.

No punching..No blood.

Simply remove the mosque. That mosque is odd man out in the Kathmandu Valley. It doesn't fit.

Yes, I agree with prem_dai . Simply remove the fuc-ki-ng Mosq.

The f-uc-king Nepali goverment killed one more Nepali protesting against the killing and may be helping to remove the fu-cki-ng mosq.

The bas-tard who killed the protesting Nepali needs to be put in prison.

F-u-cking Shere and Fu-k-king Gyanendra needs to be out. So do F-uck-ing Prachanda and F-uc-king so-called netas.

I wouldn't support the religious massacre but repeat my thoughts.
When people close to you are adversely affected, anger takes over rationality. Evaluating the difference takes a calm sense of mind, which is impossible in this situation. Do we really care to point out the differences? Apparently no.

And knowing that most of the nepalese have anger problem doesn't help either.

If the muslims of Nepal (Nepalese Muslims) truely believe that they are Nepalese, They should announce immediately that they are removing the mosque from Ratnapark, before the Nepalese might get involved in blood-shedding and damaging/burning of musjids all around Nepal.

This is the ONLY effective way they can express deep condolences to the bereft families as well as SEND a blowing, powerful (powerful than Nuclear bomb) message to the terrorists in IRAQ who committed this barbaric act to convey nepalese muslims' disapproval and condemnations.

Maoists should learn a lesson... this is the great opportunity for them to come to ground reality. Your red book should not be the reference to run your activites. We don't want RED BLOOD but the blue Sky. RATO is Ramro.. That's the way we want to understand this color. Therefore do not try to associate red color with murder.

Maha shakti, i dont know what are you trying to point out from your post ...this act was heidious, it was a blow to our whole country and our coutrymen and ofcourse to humanity itself.. These ppl where killed for no apparent reason on a global stand....this was a murder in a name of GOd, Religion, to which our country has been immune and peaceful..The domestic fight going on the country right now is for FOOD, for HOuse, and For a workable Society. Both of our brothers Maoists and Goverment, they have been fighting for something that they beilive in, to create a better society,,(of course illteracy has created a big mess on the ongoing situation and better society is never seem to be possible, but this is their reason.) this murders were a act of crime against all humanity without any reasons...therefore this crime is far more greater than the on going conflict..

and plz correct urself...
Only Maobadi's dont kill ppl, ...army, goverment and police is as much as responsible as them..

SIMPLEguyL i tottaly agree with you

and SItara ji,
Thinking morally isnt always a "BIG ThING" , ofcourse Nepal doesnt need a religious war, and neither Nepal had ever stood for one, THese pathetic group of pigs just decided to do something to our fellow country man that did not relate to them whatsoever...be Realistic Sometimes...Reality is harsher ...it bites of morality..

and all these ppl, they wonder why does world look down upon them, beacause you people have no respect for the world nor for themselves....sucide bombings is just one of the point..which is one of the daily routine in the middle east...these ppl dont deserve to live like a human being until and unless they are educated and understand how to respect humanity...

Hey Mahashakti,
Totally agree with what you have to say. I didn't even read all the threads but just want to second what you said" What's the difference?"I'm on the smae page as you are.For the past days I have been reading teh news and reading the threads and just thinking to myself about the whole situation. Why wasn't the public aggressive and protesting when thousands of people are being killed in our homeland. I'm not saying I don't have sympathy over the 12 men who were killed in Iraq. But whatever is going in Ktm, is just not right. I have based an opinion for Nepali public is that they just need a reason to be destructive.
It's a terror to see what's going on in Nepal in the past 5 years.
And where does this lead to ???
Whats teh future of Nepal ???
Peace......................
