Here is one I suggested to one of my friend who had a baby 2 days ago, its Sokesh, but it was rejected as they thought I was saying ShowCase.

Sabij

Sambhav

Sarthak

Samip

Samarth

Very recently I was faced with a similar situation, though not in a personal level. The other person having this discussion with me (who also recently had a baby) had these requirements in the baby's naming:

1. cannot sound funny in English

2. should be max 2 syllables

3. should be extractable in English short form (eg Brijesh -> Brij)

Do you have any constraints? Also, a lot of couples begin their children's name with their own (only one of their own) first letters. And the naxatra, graha, raashi etc also are important to some.

http://www.theosociety.org/pasadena/etgloss/sa-sal.htm this is a very informative site and may be useful to you.

My best wishes to you on coming onto motherhood. Give your baby and the new daddy a warm Sajha regard.

_x
