Dear Nepalese in Canada,
Just wondering if any of you (international students/PR holders/work permits) invited your family members to visit you in canada recently.
If so i have heard that there is a new VFS office in kathmandu, is that true? can family members apply in kathmandu
however i have also heard that the processing is in New delhi and visa officers in new delhi are very strict towards nepalese applicants, is it true? the chance of getting a visit visa to canada is very slim thats what i have heard.

If any of you from your past or recent experiece have any tips or tricks to increase the chances of getting a visit visa for family members, please share, it would be very helpful

Thanks

yes there is a VFS office  now in kathmandu plaza and your family can apply there.

its hard to get a visit visa to canada

make sure you prepare following things

- the purpose of visit is very clear, either they have suffiecient funds or if you are inviting, you have to have sufficient funs to sponse them.

- everything depends on their documentations, most importnatly their ties back home (family ties, job, bank balance, affiliations, business, prperty).

-they have to convince that they will return back after the visit, so if they can arrange for return flight ticket

hope that helps, others may have better opinion
