I am studying in one of the scandanavian countries but ive been to Oslo in Norway, its the same in all four countries. Living, food everything is very expensive even though tuition fee is free even for international students. The minimum u have to pay for 1 bedroom apartment is around 4300 NOK and then say 850 NOK for food( at least for me)450 NOK for travelling expense, with all the bills and stuffs, its around 6500 norwegian kroner. Its very difficult to get a qualified job or even simple Mc donald job for people without the knowlede of the language, but if u do land a job, u will earn a lot(the minimum u can make is around 10300). My advice for you is to study engineering or other IT fields where you have a higher chance to get a summer job, u can earn up to 20000, GOod luck!

Scandinavian countries are not racist at all, they welcome immigrants, its just misconception that people think its all about blonde and blue eyed people, they are gettin multicultured, ofcourse not as diverse as U.S but living standard and benefits are higher than there, so I say go for norway! You should see what Michael Moore has to say in ´´ Sicko´´ about the difference between Norway and U.S.

thanks teena for all the info...!!! i was told by the consultancy that i am applying through that the language is a big problem in Finland but it is really not a problem in norway and sweden. one can get job easily even without the native language understanding. how true is their saying? i am studying IT. does it make my chances of landing on a job better?!! would appreciate highly all the info!!! :)

Scandinavian countries are not racist at all - 'max n duku' knows shit. And the women there are HOT - had a lot of Scandinavian friends. In fact, if u go to main cities - like Stockholm or Oslo - most people speak English too. I'm not sure of the job opportunities - but if you in engineering or computer science - I'm sure there will be opportunities there. If u could learn the language, that would definitely help although I've heard that both Swedish and Finnish languages are very difficult languages to learn. Also, I'm sure that there are quite a few Nepali people working at Ericsson in Sweden and Nokia in Finland.

Ya, you dont need to learn the native language esp in Norway, Sweden and Denmark,(almost everyone speaks fluent English) ofcourse its a plus, if u know it, if u have some extra time, enroll in a language school for immigrants for a yr, its free anyways. And yes, u have higher chance of getting a job in international companies if ur studying IT, I heard that there are some nepalese working in Ericsson, ikea, nokia, tetra pak. But its difficult to support yrself as a student but its same in every western countries, here atleast u dont have to worry about payin for ur tuition.
