I need help on this issue. I lost my job in 2010 and I ended up using my credit card which exceeded more than 7000 dollars. Later on reasearced on this issu, I found out when the credit amount is sent to collection agency, its not worth of paying credit back. So i didnot pay my credit amount evenafter i got the job.

Now i am going back to nepal. Will i have any problem when i come back. Will i have any law suit from those credit card company?  Iam confused......i really need help.... i am ignoring all mails they sent. i am wondering if they can sue me.......

Do not worry, it does not effect your imigration status in any way. Both are totally unrelated but credit card companies will make you pay by taking judgement against you. Since your credit is already messed up, try to settle the loan for les than you owe.

Immigration status is not affected by your credit...if you do come back you will have the collection agencies coming after you like a pack of wolves, you will not get any loan, and in some cases companies in certain industries (like financial sector, government etc) look at your credit history to make decision to hire you or not. try to negotiate with them and come up with a payment plan, though it's really tough. I am not sure how the debt consolidation companies, which are dime a dozen around, might help you but i have heard negative stories about people who have turned to them for help. one of my friend was in a similar situation and he negotiated directly with the bank, he had about 10K debt on credit card which he did not pay. Later on he negotiated with the bank and paid 10K cash (principle only) and settled his case. so if you have that kind of  money on you maybe you can try and negotiate with the bank directly than with the 3rd party collection agencies that are after you.

how could you use somebody's money and not pay it back. how do you feel if i take your paycheck and not pay you for working?  you are one of the nig**. but anyway.... you can always file chapter 11. bankruptcy. now the rules of bankcruptcy has been changed so they will take a chuck from your paycheck against your deliquent account. and the record will be there in your history for 7 years. so at the end of the day you have to pay them back what you owe unless you die before you pay all your debt. so its up to you. pay now get out clean or pay later with boot patch in your ass.

your simple credit card deliqeuncy debt does not effect your status. you can enter and leave the contry anytime. USCIS do not go over your credit history to grant you a visa or chage of status.

DO you have a JOB now?

IF yes
THEN try to settle with Credit Card or Debt Collectors, they are offering 60% off

IF No
THEN Where you get the money to spend air ticket to NEPAL and other expenses

IF you want to live long term in US, you have to BE A RESPONSIBLE PERSON from Right Now on.

Your BAD credit will last 7 years on your RECORD.  BUT once you have a lawsuit from the collectors in your STATES District Court it'll last to YOUR LIFE.

AND remember, once you have RECORD in District Court, anyone can look into your RECORD just TYPING your last name under case search menu on your States District Court websites.

THIS procedure is common if you are LOOKING FOR JOB.  Most employer do this kind of easy background check.

Its your LIFE and you have  a CHOICE  how to LIVE.

HAVE A NICE TRIP!!!
