Hello friends,
I am trying to obtain a tourist visa for Canada on behalf of my parents who are currently in the US. I am gathering all the requirements as required by this document :
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5876E.pdf
So i have most of the documents ready. However, I hit a snag with this particular requirement:
If you are in the United States with B1 or B2 status, please also submit proof
of ties to your country of usual residence. This should include (but is not
limited to):
Proof of intention to return to that country (example: airline tickets, travel
itineraries)
Is there any way to get airlines to send me a travel itinerary or flight reservation without me having to pay for the ticket itself. I don't want to purchase the tickets as there is always a slim chance that the visa application might be rejected. Also, I could by refundable tickets but they are really expensive and even if i cancel it after getting the visa most of the airlines, it turns out, only reimburse the amount in the form of "travel banks".
Has anyone faced a similar situation? I would appreciate any help!
Thanks
