If you have any other means to get EAD or GC, i suggest you to go that route. Asylum or marrying US citizen for GC should be the last resort. I am telling you because of my experience. My asylum was denied in interview and court , and i was hoping for TPS, now even that is gone. So once i leave at the end of TPS , i will not be able to come to US for 10 years. I had to apply for asylum since i had no other way (graduated during Recession so did not get job and Tri Valley uni scandal happened to me).

So asylum should be the very last resort.
