I guess you have green card, take some courses from college too meantime take IT training so it helps you to get confidence.

My experience I worked for small SBE (first job) form by mistake receptionist emailed client saying
Mrs Mitez, she was divorced few months ago so she pissed off eventually she terminated. Though she was high school graduated in america.

So i recommend you to learn those small things what we never encountered in our education sytem.
