There are numerous fundraisers that have sprouted up at this time and I am sure most of them have been initiated with a good heart, but as a donor, you should only donate to fundraisers initiated by official non profit organizations.
This is because people who raise funds without having 501(c) Non Profit organization, will have to pay extra fees which means the victims of natural disasters end up getting less than what you paid for.

In the wake of the seemingly unsurmountable natural disaster in Nepal, sajha.com is joining the Nepal Earthquake Relief effort originated by Prabal Gurung.
We Nepalis living abroad have always talked the talk, and now it's time to walk the walk by putting your money where your mouth is. Please, Nepal needs as much help as they can get. No amount of aid is enough at this point when thousands of lives have been lost, leaving hundreds of thousands more injured, homeless and at mercy of mother nature.
Please open your hearts and wallets for this cause, and let's hope that as many as possible needy Nepalis will be positively affected by our contrubutions.
