In the age of youtube, facebook, and 24-hour satellite television, why on earth would someone go to great lengths to listen to an inarticulate or somewhat detached wanna-be poet?
Prospective wet panties might be the secret incentive. If one was stranded at a Kaczynski-like abode indefinitely then I would definitely understand. Any new poem would be better than near-death boredom in that instance.
