How could you be so sure about it? 
I can show you more than 100 proofs that there is afterlife and there is reincarnation.
Have you heard of edcar casey? 
how about other re-incarnated prophets?
They do show amazing recalls of their past life since their childhood.
There has been researches going on and scientific research is mute so far, no explanation.
I 've more than 12 physicists in my mind, who believes the energy inside us is the life force which can take forms lifetime after lifetime.
I've read books written by scientists, what more can you ask now? Most of these are spiritual in a sense, not saying religious.

If you go and see yourself,contemplate who you are , you'll find yourself close to divinity. That very yourself, that very consciousness which say, you are 'you' , just think about it.. you'll find many answers in my opinion. Just sit in, and think for at least hours in silence. 
The moment our consciousness is Shut Off here, it'll Turn On somewhere else with your very own consciousness. The only difference would be that you won't be able to recall any past memories of your form.
