Telegraph Nepal

Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda of Unified Maoists Party has invited India to directly intervene in the ever troubled Nepali politics.

He begged for India’s support at an interaction program organized for Nepal-India Human Development and Friendship Association, September 25, 2011.

“We acknowledge India’s support in the signing of 12 Points agreement. I urge India to play positive role once again for smooth progress of peace and constitutional process,” said Dahal.

The former NOIDA dweller appealed India to again pounce upon Nepal a la 12 point agreement, November 22, 2005.

Height of Nepali insult.

“Had relations between Nepali political parties and India not been cordial, the 12 point agreement was not possible. The 12 Point agreement was reached with India’s benevolent support to declare Nepal a federal democratic republic”, he said and added, “The role India played then to forge unity between parties, in the changed political context I want India to play similar role.”

Total Submission! However, the fact is that India was not made to play a role instead India unilaterally played this role by summoning the then sinking seven parties in agitation and forced them all to sign the ignominious 12 point agreement which, in effect, sidelined the Monarchy. History can’t be distorted.

Has Prachanda gone senile? NOIDA smell still continues perhaps.

The Indian Ambassador Jayant Prasad who has earned popularity in his short stint in Kathmandu by toeing coercive line adopted by his predecessors was also present on the occasion. Soft coercion indeed.

When Chairman Dahal in his pocket, Ambassador Jayant Prasad has abundant reasons to smile. Bahadurs will remain ever Bahadurs!

“I, representing the largest party in the Constituent Assembly, appeal the Indian ambassador and Indian leaders to further support Nepal in the back drop of the 12 Point agreement. I think such a support will add new dimension in the relation between the two countries.”

New dimension, as seen by Prachanda, will be very close to Sikkimisation.

“The positive effect of the 12 Point Agreement was observed until CA elections were held. In the post CA election phase of Nepali politics, political parties preferred to take wrong directions as a result the constitution drafting and peace process remained stalled”, Dahal said.

The Indian Ambassador Prasad told the gathering, “We are ready to extend our support in your effort to make new Nepal. We are in favor of political stability and economic prosperity of Nepal.”

How the new Nepal will look alike with Jayant’s support is any body’s guess now.

People's War takes a full circle. From NOIDA to NOIDA once again.

Chairman Dahal! Awake! Listen to the cry of mother Nepal if you could.
