Why does the blogger use the word "tragedy"?
No one died right before his eyes.
Don't get me wrong; for I am not mad at him but it's a little unfair. He "should of" done some research on what makes a country Third-World so that he wouldn't have received the surprises. His main goal was to circumvent the Annapurna trail. From the once-in-a-life images he has captured, it seems he would not regret his Himalayan adventure even after he has received his new credit card bill. Instead I bet a lot of people would have loved to be in his trekking boots.
My responses to some of his complaints:
The fact that glaciers are receding is due to the global warming causing industrialization in the one-billion-people-strong India. I am certain, that is a payback for all the human faeces we export to India via our extensive river systems. The trash in the Capital and on the Annapurna trail, weed or sex solicitations are quite embarrasing and we should thank the blogger for raising those credible concerns.
Why doesn't the Nepal Government fire a bunch of card-playing tenured government employees and hire a lot more plain clothed cops to roam the tourist spots to save us from these dollar-repeling nightmares?
