One Madhes State

The thing that I hated most was when people harrass poor people like chana chatpate, vegetable vendors etc. One day I was travelling to the states, and I was approached by two Madhesi men of my age to help them in filling out the forms. I was shocked to find that though they were from Janakpur, they were not educated. They were not confident at all. When I asked them to show their passport, their hands were trembling. It seemed to me as if they were afraid something wrong might happen and they wouldn't be allowed to board the plane. I was of their age, I grew up in a rural Nepal too, but I was a lot different (lucky and confident) than them.

I have always supported their rights, but like you said, I think what our govt must do is the followings:

1. Put tons of money in Madhesi village for education. Give vouchers if they want to go to english school to pay a part of their tuition.
2. Madhesi girls have to be given tons of protection. They should be encouraged to join bureaucracy, police and army.
3. And any man who insults Madhesi in the streets should  be put in custody for a few days. Just to teach some lessons.

I don't think it is our religion that teaches us hatred towards them. In fact, lots of Mishra, Tripathi, Jha have found acceptance in our mountains and they were there since long. I think it is our fear of India that led us to treat them like this. Also in the past, we didn't travel much and thought all of them were foreigners. But we must change it. A country divided among itself can't prosper.

I am against ek pradesh thingy, of course. But I am all for equality. This is the way to make our country prosperous.
